Deck on craftsman lt2000 is not level-

Wondering if the deck has lost a spring or wire or something that may cause the deck to be unlevel- which in turn may be why the grass is being cut shorter on one side of the cut

SOURCE: deck repair

It goes on top of the littlie flat idler on the right side,
the right and left side is by sitting on unit.
You will see a little hole in the top of the bolt a little pin goes in there and holds it in place.

SOURCE: 42" deck not cutting level

I had a similar problem, and the problem was fixed by airing up one of my front tires. This may not be all of the problem, but you should eliminate this before you go adjusting.......

SOURCE: 2003 DLT3000 Craftsman riding mower. Air in tires

when you put the new blades on did you notice if they were even with each other? the 42" decks have a tendency to "warp" inward on the left side. this causes the left blade to ride at an angle to the right blade - there is a tool to correct this, but not all shops have it - sometimes you can remove the deck, flip it over and wallop the inside edge of the left mandrel until the blades are even - a 2 lb. sledge works well for this

SOURCE: uneven grass cutting

I have seen dull blades, blades not installed right and an un-level deck cause that.

Hope this helps.

Blade still running after lever is disenagaged on Sears Craftsman LT2000 2010 riding mower.

the moveable arm that the blade engage pulley is attached to has a hole for a spring as well as the deck (or at least an attached immoveable bracket). spring goes there to bring the blades to a stop when putting the lever in the off possition.

Belt on my craftsman LT2000 is stretched.is there a way to tighten the tensioner ? or is it automatic ?

tensioner will only work within a range- although the spring may be weak they do fatigue and go bad-sears should be able to get you a new spring -I would get a new belt at the same time-cheersDenny

Craftsman LT2000 transmission won't engage

Sounds like you either lost a bearing inside the transmission or that something in the linkage system has come loose and shifted. easiest way is to jack the unit up and visually follow the shifting hardware, while having someone trying to engage it with unit shut off and see is you can visually find where the shaft is slipping or failing to move. Hope This Helps Don
