How do i get my scanner to do "enter" without

Hello Severiano,
this can be done automatically, just by scanning three programming barcodes. Please follow the steps in the attached document. https://docs.symbol.com/attachments/ADC-01244.doc

How do i turn off auto enter on my symbol ls3603mx scanner?

from manufacturers site take scan code sheet, you will just find there programming scan codes, one for start programming, another to terminate auto entry and third to terminate programming. that is correct procedure if scannig is automatically set in scanner, if scanning is in your database on other hand, you need to re-write that bit which insert your code to database/spreedsheet automatically and change it to manual, as i do not know which of these method you use, i cannot be more specific.

try scanner first! usually scanner is programmed on automatic.

LS4004 Scanner displaying 2 random digits on scan?

Hello coreyog. I think I can help you with at least part of this. The "suffixing with an enter" you're describing is called a Carriage Return. If you go to your manual, you'll be able to find the Carriage Return enable and disable barcodes. Disabling the Carriage Return should fix that part at least.

As far as the digits not found in the barcode, there are about a thousand and one reasons it could be doing this. Generally, I suggest to my clients that they use the manual to reset the defaults of the scanner while plugged in to the problematic machine, after resetting, unplug the scanner and plug it back in. This should get windows to re-discover the device, as it were. This takes care of it about 75% of the time. I hope I've at least helped you get a start on fixing your scanner foibles. Good luck!

Symbol barcode scanner LS4071 + base RL475

Hi, you will need the 25-17821-20 and STI80-0200R cables to connect to PS/2. You must have a PS/2 keyboard for this connection.

If you would prefer to connect to a USB port you should get the 25-17821-20 cable with the STI85-0200R.

The RL-475 was for the IBM, but it also supported Synapse which is the STI cable.

When i scan a barcode why do i have to push enter?

Go to http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=7188201bpdf&sliceId=&dialogID=111756507&stateId=0%200%2011492385
This is the quick start guide for the LS2208. On the first page you will see a section titled Carriage Return/Line Feed. Scan these three bar codes from top to bottom. That's it.

Auto Enter is False

Do you mean so that it will automatically input 'enter' after each scan

If so, this can be solved by ediitng the registry. You can do so as follows:

Download the enter file (this is a sendspace link, so it will not be up for very long).

Copy the file to the "Application" folder on the MC1000 and then do a cold boot and test.

I'm afraid I don't really understand how the reg has been editied in this file, otherwise I would post more detailed instructions rather than asking you to trust a file from an unknown person. But this fix was given to me by someone ore knowledgeable than me, and it has okay on my scanner!

Good luck!
