Two things. First go into Device Manager and make sure the driver is loaded. Right click on Network Adapter, then right click on your wireless card. you can update driver, remove driver and let plug n play pick it back up, or if looks like no problems then leave it be. second, did you set it up going thru the Wireless Network Wizard..Its under Accessories>comminication in Windows XP.(You didn't indicate which OS you are using). What is probably happening is you are not quite set up correctly and your WEP is blocking you from connecting because the computer does not have your WEP key....if you have any questions let me know.

Make sure the LAN is not set to use any IP address. It should be on DHCP ok. Some times, the WLAN has to be configured to use IP address, so get the addresses of the Wireless Router: IP, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and Pref DNS and assign these to the WLAN. Only the IP addr should be different by adding one or two to the Router's IP ok. Restart the pc and it will get connected. Good luck

check for the necessary ip addressing formats as well as if any DNS server addresses are required to connect to the network
if all is fine then try
right click on the network icon click on repair
try surfing if still not able to surf try the steps a couple of times
