This can be caused by errors on the CD-ROM media, or by a bad CD-ROM drive. Try using a different CD-ROM drive if you have one.

How to download vista, and wat is the requirments need for vista

Please Dont install VISTA, it is bloated, slow and buggy.
Either stick with XP or use Windows 7, 7 is far better than Vista.
If you are after a free download, try this 1 http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/204960365/windows+7?tab=summary
, you will need a torrent client like Utorrent, this is here http://www.utorrent.com/downloads
The download will take a while, it will come with an activation patch.
You usually install windows 7 without the serial, then run the patch after to make it genuine.

Actual hardware requirements will vary, depending on system configuration and on the programs and the features that you install. If you install Windows Vista over a network, additional hard disk space may be required. Windows Vista Home Basic
  • 800-megahertz (MHz) 32-bit (x86) processor or 800-MHz 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 512 megabytes (MB) of system memory
Note On system configurations that use system memory as graphics memory, at least 448 MB of system memory must be available to the operating system after some memory is allocated for graphics.
  • DirectX 9-class graphics card

WINDOWS 98

You probably don't want to hear this but I really do not recommend that you do this.
The reason has to do with your hardware.

System Requirements for Windows 98:
486DX 66 megahertz (MHz) or faster processor (Pentium CPU recommended)
16 megabytes (MB) of memory (24 MB recommended).
A full install of Windows 98 on a FAT32 drive requires up to 255MB of hard drive space
VGA Graphics

The minimum hardware requirements for Windows XP Home Edition are:
Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended)
At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM (128 MB is recommended)
At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk
Super VGA Graphics

To be honest the posted minimum requirements for XP have long been considered a joke. A system twice as powerful as they recommend will probably still run slower than your current system with 98.
I am of course assuming that Windows 98 was originally installed on your system and it has circa 1998 hardware.

Too slow

the only way to improve graphics is to upgrade your graphics card and ensure that you have enough system memory and proccesor power to run the game as it should do. If you have a 32MB or 64MB card then maybe you should go for atleast 128MB
