To factory settings? You would either need a partition set by the factory for a factory reset (pressing an F-key during boot would prompt this,typically F12) or CD/DVD's provided at the time of laptop purchase, you're welcome to call the manufacture to have them mailed to you if you don't have the media.

Resetting as in clean install or just rebooting? If in the case of resetting you may need to reinstall your wifi driver from your computer maker's website. After that, windows update should download your other required drivers.

Could you try resetting password on another computer and check on that computer if it works. (Possibility of Virus/Spyware on your computer) Else Need to figure it out on your own.

Did you try resetting the PRAM and SMC?
Resetting PRAM and NVRAM

1. Shut down the computer (by holding the power button).

2. Turn on the computer. Wait until I hear the boot sound.

3. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys (simultenously).

4. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.

5. Release the keys.

Reset the SMC


When the above 5 steps didn't prove to of much help you can try resetting the SMC.
Close the Mac.
Detach any peripherals, cables, power wires, battery etc.
Be patient for several minutes.
Re-attach all the cables, peripherals like before.
Now turn ON the OS X

Do a battery disconnect reset. Remove negative terminal from battery. Then, depress brake pedal for 30 seconds or so.

Reconnect negative terminal and fire it up!

U can't flash the computer, a dealer only has the machine to do that, as far as resetting it u just use a scan tool or disvconnect the battery for 5 minutes

"Resetting" will erase your drive.
Copy your music to another storage device...external hard drive or online backup storage...then wipe your computer drive, then run the resetting program or manually reinstall software, then copy your music back to the newly loaded drive.

That's what the camera is supposed to do. If it always started back at 1, you wouldn't be able to download new pictures because your computer would keep telling you that those pictures already exist.
