Question about Microwave Ovens
The microwave needs to be on another circuit than where it is now. This happens with the 1000 watt models a lot. Either plug it into a new outlet that is on a new breaker or change the breaker to a higher amperage.

Running the oven empty will overheat the magnetron. It may just be a failed magnetron thermal cutout (also called a thermostat or TCO) or the magnetron itself may be destroyed.
