41-2 = 39/3 = 13: now all three sides are equal. Add 2 inches to the base 13+2=15. Equal sides are 13 each and base is 15. 13+13+15=41

It is what the Brits and Canadian's call a trapezoid, a four sided figure which has two opposites sides which are parallel but of unequal lengths.

Once upon a time, it meant a four sided figure of which no two sides were parallel.

A trapezoid has four sides. Two of the sides of the shape must be parallel, although they do not have to be of the same length. The other two sides can be of the same or different lengths, but not parallel.

You need 5 isosceles triangles with a base of 30 mm. To get the height of the triangles (perpendicular to the 30 mm bases) you need to calculate the apothem of the pentagon (assumed to be regular).

If you cut the pyramid by a plane passing through its apex, the center of the base-pentagon,and the midpoint of one side, the plane figure created by the three points (apex, center, and midpoint) is a right triangle. The legs are the apothem, and the altitude of the pyramid. The hypotenuse is the slant height of the pyramid, and is thus the height of the triangles in the development. pyramid (60 mm) form.

Use the Pythagorean Theorem to find that slant height.

**s^2=a^2+h^2**.

Given your limited description, PQ can be any length (though equal to QR) and the point R can be anywhere in the coordinate space. Would you care to provide some additional details? Perhaps a diagram?

Pi is a mathematical constant whose value is the ratio of any Euclidean plane circle's
circumference to its diameter; this is the same value as the ratio of a
circle's area to the square of its radius. It is approximately equal to
3.14159265 in the usual decimal notation.
