The flash disk could be faulty, especially when it draws too much power, and this will cause the USB ports to shut down and the other USB devices won't work until the faulty device is removed.

1 usb port cant detect a flash drive but can detect other usb devices

I'd say its the flash drive thats faulty .Try it in another computer to see if its recognized. If not the flash drive itself is bad. That port recognizing other devices says it functioning as intended.

You may be lucky enough to find them on ebay. If not just use a regular Windows OS disk and then download the drivers from Averatec: Click here for the link: http://www.trigem.com/us/support/drivers.asp

USB ports stopped working

go to the Averatec support driver page and download new drivers for the USB. Sometimes these are listed as "chipset" drivers, which is a set drivers bundled into one.

Unknown devices

Sometimes this is because a peripheral was hooked up and then removed without finishing the install. You can usually remove the unknowns, then see if anything in your video, sound, or anything changed.

Try having the problem devices turned on and plugged into the USB port(s) and then start or restart your PC.

This should cause Windows to recognize them and install drivers if available from its library.

It may also ask for an installation disk if it cannot identify the device.
