Acer x203h monitor 1600x900 show as 1280x960

Hello, I have problem with my Acer x203h monitor. I have ati radeon HD6670 graphic card and in last 1-2 year I'm working on this monitor and this card with resolution 1600x900. But from yday acer don't show my resolution properly any more. On my computer they show that signal from graphic card is same 1600x900 but in monitor information panel say that he working on resolution 1280x960 and all are messed up. When I switch on higher resolution 1600x1200 monitor show that is 1600x1200 but this is not right resolution for this monitor and all are blured. When I lower resolution on 1440x900 monitor info shows that is 1600x900 and make 1440x900 full screen stretched. I'm format computer and make fresh installations of graphic drivers and same problem, I have other 19" monitor and try to work on him and he is working like charm and say proper resolution from graphic card so its not graphic card problem. Monitor drivers don't work too I'm try all. Maybe is monitor resolution chip dead and show messed up resolutions?

SOURCE: Acer x203h only yields 720x480 resolution

The fact that other devices can go higher than the resolution provided by the panasonic dvd player is a strong indication that this is not a screen issue but one with your dvd player and you should consult the manual or web site for your particular model to find out what its limitations are

SOURCE: Native resolution suddenly scrolls.

The native resolution for the Acer AL2216W is 1600X1200. It is acting correctly for the resolution you have set it to.

Connect my Acer monitor to my digital cable box.

Not sure what your cable box outputs but connect your cable box to a tv and try changing the resolution of your cable box to 1600x900 or less if there is such a setting; the monitor will not display resolutions higher than 1600x900

My acer v103w shows 1600x900 instead of 1400x900

You either open the settings on the monitor and change it to what you want or what the monitor can handle, or depending on what graphics you have, you can change it from inside windows, if there is a graphics utility. Normally if you just RT click on the screen you will see screen resolution, If you have a graph utility, you will see ATI, or Nvidia somewhere in the list under View, refresh.

I have an Acer Aspire M1641 and I want to install a AMD Radeon HD6670. Are they compatible?

Yes they are compatible, but you would need to upgrade your power supply first. You do have the slots needed to add a Radeon HD6670, but your 250W power supply can't handle the card. You would need a good quality 500W power supply minimum. Personally I would recommend a good quality 600W-700W power supply so you have a little breathing room for future upgrades or additions.

I have windows xp and an Acer x203h monitor which is 1600 x 900 - xp does not support the vista version of the x203h driver - where can I get a driver that will work with this monitor size and xp, I'm not...

The resolution depends on the video card capability. If you cannot reach 1600x900 I would suspect your video card is the limitation not the monitor.

Screen monitor images on the righ side is not showig.

Hi afcarrillo,

This could be a simple resolution problem. By that I mean that the resolution is set too low, therefore putting things off screen. Here's how you change the resolution:

Windows XP

Right click the Desktop and select Properties. Click the tab all the way on the right that says settings, and drag the slider to your native resolution of 1600x900

Windows Vista

Click Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Personalization, Display Settings and drag the slider to 1600x900

Windows 7

Simply right click the desktop, select Screen resolution and pick 1600x900

If you do not have a resolution problem, then it's most likely the monitor itself. Most often times you can fix it one of two ways:

1. Some monitors have a button that says "Auto" which will auto adjust your monitor. If you have one, try it.

2. If that didn't work or you don't have one, go through the monitor's OSD (on screen display) and work through the settings so that you can manually adjust it and set it to your taste.

Hope this helps :)
