Rough idle

Try changing the plug wires and see if it makes a difference.

I have a 1997 lumina with 3.1L. the problem started with loss of power under load and p0300 code. check coils and vacuum leaks both OK.change spark plugs and wires.[same problem] check compression OK.

Since you changed the sensor we will assume it is working. When you disconnect it you put the computer in limp mode which stops it from using sensor values. If code 300 is the only code we will assume the coolant temp sensor and others are ok.
I would check fuel pressure with a gauge next.

Car had code p0300 and p0303 which i do believe are engine misfire codes according to my code reader i replaced plugs with platinum plugs, new wires and replaced all 3 coils. Now all i get is code p0303....

303 IS CYLINDER #3 WITCH IS REAR BANK IN THE MIDDLE, TRY SWAPPING SPARK PLUG WIRES WITH ANOTHER CYLINDER AND SEE IF YOU GET ANOTHER CODE. MAKE SURE PLUGS ARE GAPPED CORRECTLY. IF IT IS NOT A SPARK PLUG OR WIRE, SUSPECT A BAD INJECTOR. 301-306 IS CYL,1-6. ALSO MAKE SURE THE PLUG WIRE GOT BACK ON THE PLUG CORRECTLY THEY ARE HARD TO REACH AND YOU MAY HAVE MISSED THE SPARK PLUG WHEN YOU PUT THE WIRE ON.

My 2002 Ford Expedition shakes when put in drive. In park it does not shake. What would cause this, spark plug wires, plugs, fuel filter?

Spark plugs and wires,
Bad or leaky vacuum line
Bad 02 sensors, (check engine light would likely be on)

If it doesn't do it at idle, then motors mounts should be good and the problem is one of the listed above.

ENGINE IDLES ROUGH, BUT RUNS FINE WHILE DRIVING. My car is a 1995 Buick Regal Gran Sport with the 3800 series motor with 212000 miles. The rough idle tarted after driving through some muddy and wet roads

go the cheapest route. replace fuel filter and add SEAFOAM to tank of premiun fuel. replace filter before 500 miles. then add SEAFOAM to gas every 3000 miles to keep lines.engine, fuel pump, and emissions systems clean, ETHANOL problem number 3000

Code PO0171 & PO0174

You have a vacuum leak. Did you use new intake manifold gaskets and torque the bolts according to the spec? Did you get all of the vacuum lines back on in the right places?
