SOURCE: How do I get my calculator to round to the fourth

Hello
[Shift][Setup][6:Fix]4 displays result with 4 decimal places. But if number is too small you will lose significant digits and may have a null value.
In that case you use [Shift][Setup][7:Sci]4 displays results in scientific notation digit.4digitsx10^(exponent)

Hope it helps

SOURCE: oops

Hi,
You need to change the display format.
Press the [MODE] key a certain number of times until the screen displays Fix, Sci, Norm on one line, and 1 2 3 on the next line, with 1 under Fix, 2 under Sci and 3 under Norm.

Press 1 (Fix) followed by a number (1,2,3, etc.) This second number will set the number of decimal digits. In other words, if you press 1 (Fix) 3 all your results will have 3 decimal digits. If you choose 0, your results will not show decimals.

Hope it helps.
Thank you for rating the solution.

Turn it on, hit MODE then change the FLOAT value from 1 to Float itself. Float allows you to round, and something changed that setting

Can you round 3,150,000 to 2 decimal places

Huh?
To round off a number to 2 decimal places.... you would have to have a decimal. Your number of 3,150,000 implies 3,150,000.00

There is no rounding in this case. It is simply adding a decimal and two zeros after the decimal.

How i fad the one decimal place the answer of this question 0.7844 correct to 1 decimal place

You haven't made the purpose of the question very clear Miriam so I am only guessing that it is an exercise in rounding or shortening decimal fractions to make them easier to work with which is often convenient when approximations do not matter.

The general rule of rounding is to take the last figure and if it is less than 5 it is erased and if it is 5 or more it is erased but 1 is added to the next or the new last figure and the process is repeated until the fraction is shortened to the required length.

If you take the decimal fraction 0.8745, after the first stage of rounding it would become 0.875 and then after the second stage of rounding it would become 0.88 and then finally rounding to one decimal place the result would be 0.9.

I hope this helps you deal with your fraction. I apologise in advance if I have misunderstood the question.

Rounding decimals 3 places

You round a number with several decimal places to a number with fewer decimal places.
1.14 rounded to 1 decimal place 1.1
What you are asking for can be done by putting a zero after 4 and write 1.140, BUT that is not rounding. In fact you can put as many zeros after 4 as you want.

Rounding nearest

Set the display to 2 decimal places then use the [RND] function. See how the manual describes the Round operation.

23101423-rvrejqbjq4zuw4cbinsyjvsy-5-0.png Brief example:
01- 42 2 [f][2]
02- 42 14 [f][RND]
03- 42 9 [f][9]
The above program takes the number displayed and rounds to 2 decimal places (nearest 100th), then displays all decimal places.
If you entered 2.876 and ran the program, it would display 2.880000000.

How to program puting a pecentage?

Sad as it may be, this calculator does not have a % button/key/menu. So do not look for it. However you can still convert your decimal numbers to percent values.
1 %= 1 per cent (100) = 1/100=0.01
0.01=0.01*100/100=(0.01*100)/100=1/100=1%
To convert a decimal number to %, move the decimal mark two places to the right.
To convert a percent value to a decimal value, move the decimal mark two places to the left and drop the % symbol.
75%=0.75
135%=1.35

How to round the fig. in Excel 2007 E.g. 12350*32.75% = 4044.625 I want it to be rounded to nearer rupee. If the decimal is lesser than 50, rounded fig. should be lower Rupee if the decimal is more than 50...

The function is called ROUND. It has 2 arguments, (1) the original number and (2) the number of decimal digits. Here is the Excel's help: ROUND(number,num_digits) The number you want to round. None. num_digits The number of digits to which you want to round number. If num_digits is greater than 0 (zero), then number is rounded to the specified number of decimal places. If num_digits is 0, then number is rounded to the nearest integer. If num_digits is less than 0, then number is rounded to the left of the decimal point.
So for your case use this in a cell "=ROUND(12350*32.75%, 0)" without quotes, where I assume one or both numbers will come from other cells. -Ken
