Question about Lexmark X5470 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Downloading application list - cant retreive application

I have a Lexmark X7350, when I try to scan, it is not scanning only saying downloading application list only to inform me that it cant retrieve the application list. Please help, it use to work all the time, now all of the sudden it doesn't work.

If your pc tels you its downloading application, have a look a your printer drivers, your usb cable connecting your pc to printer and or the data cable inside the scanner might have gone faulty

There is a patch that you can download and run to resolve this issue.
Step 1:
Download the following patch: http://swdownloads.lexmark.com/Patches/3500-4500/3500-4500.exe


  1. To start the process, double-click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

  2. Reboot the PC.

  3. Unplug the power adapter from the back of the printer.

  4. Plug it back in after 30 seconds.

  5. Try to scan again.
    If the problem still exists, follow Step 2 below.

Step 2:
Download the following patch: http://swdownloads.lexmark.com/Patches/3500-4500/3500-4500wifiethernetpatch.exe


  1. Double-click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

  2. Reboot the PC.

  3. Unplug the power adapter from the back of the printer.

  4. Plug it back in after 30 seconds.

  5. Try to scan again.

If the problem is still the same

1.Get the printer ip address of the printer (ex: 192.168.1.10)
-press settings on the printer panel.. go to network setup.. View TCP / IP, open a browser (IE or mozilla) and type in the printer ip address
-you will see the printer page and then go to configuration.. choose scan to network host
-delete all the computer name listed

2. Go to start, all program.. choose Lexmark 3500-4500 series and choose Lexmark Solution Center
-go to Advanced, click on networking and then click on Change PC name or PIN
--rename the PC name and then click on Ok

3. Turn off the printer, unplug it for 10 secs

4. Try to scan, it should work

if it's still the same you need to uninstall the printer driver and download the updated driver in Lexmark.com

-reinstall it using the downloaded driver

Lexmark x5650 all in one won't download application list


Try to download and install the Lexmark X5650 printer driver for Windows 7 from the Lexmark website. First, disconnect your printer from your computer. Then, check if your computer system is running on 32-bit or 64-bit. On your computer, go to Start > right-click on Computer > click on Properties. Take note of the System Type.

Am trying to scan a document but it keeps saying


You can go to lexmark.com and download the software package for your machine. It won't scan unless it's connected to your computer and the scan software is running, some Lexmarks won't even copy without the software running in your computer.

It means the scan button is trying to locate the lexmark scanning software.
multiple factors could be blocking this.

try scanning from your computer with the lexmark software or use the windows scanning wizard in scanners and cameras

Cannot retreive application list


Please try scanning using Paint:

1- Click Start (If you have Windows XP, Click Start and then Click Run)
2- Then type "paint" without the quotes into the search box and press ENTER
3- Click File, and select "From Scanner or Camera"
4- Make any changes you would like and click "Scan"

Wont scan lexmark x6675


Try to scan by pressing the scan button on the printer, if this works. Then try to scan from the application that came with the printer. Please let me know the results.

I have a LEXMARK X5650 that will not SCAN to the computer... When I press SCAN it does nothing. So I press the ON and START buttons... The display will then say "Scan to Computer" - If you click "OK", then...


When using Adobe Photoshop, select File, then Import, and then the Lexmark device. That's the only way I have found, however you should be able to scan through many programs.

Scanning with my printer


Funny you just posted this yesterday and I had the same problem at the same time. (driver timb bomb?) Any way, the solution that worked for me was to: 1. Unplug the printer. 2. Uninstall the drivers. 3. Reboot the machine. 4. Go to the lexmark site and download the drivers. 5. Install the new drivers. Everything is working great now. It is nice to have simple solutions once in a while. :)
