A particle carrying 5 electrons starts from rest and is accelerated through a potential difference of 8900v. calculate the K.E. aquired by it is MeV. (charge on electron = 1.6*10-19

A unit of energy used for convenience in atomic systems. Specifically, it is the change in energy of an electron, or of any particle having a charge numerically equal to that of an electron, when it is moved through a difference of potential of 1 mks volt. Its value (in mks units) is obtained from the equation W = qV, where W is energy in joules, q the charge in coulombs, and V the potential difference in volts. For a potential difference of 1 volt and the electronic charge of 1.602 × 10?19 coulomb, the electronvolt is 1.602 × 10?19 joule. See also Electron; Ionization potential.

The kinetic energy gained by an electron by falling through a potential difference of 1 volt. 1 eV is equivalent to 1.6 × 10-12 ergs. 1,000 eV is referred to as 1 kilo electron volt, or keV, and 1,000,000 eV are referred to as 1 mega electron volt, or MeV.

From this equation W = qV = (5 x 1.6 × 10?19 Coulomb) x 8900 v = 44.500 x 1.6 × 10?19 Joule
= 44.500 eV (because 1 eV = 1.602176487(40)×10?19 J)
= 44.500 x 10?6 MeV ( because 1 MeV = 1.000.000 eV)
K.E. = 0.0445 MeV

Well, I hope this right, I'm not so sure my self :P.
Hope this help and be kind to rate please, thanks.

Mitsubishi CS-31505 TV - UN-memorize QV (Quick View) Channel?

I've learned from a Mitsu tech that there is indeed NO easy (nor logical & user-friendly) way to UN-memorize a QV channel.

However there IS a work-around to accomplish that so that the QV will revert back to its Factory Setting of "Last Channel Recall."

Using the Mitsu remote control:

1. Poke the Menu button.
2. On the Menu, select the "Add/Delete Channels."
3. Select the Antenna (A or B or whichever) and select the channel which was memorized in QV.
4. When that memorized channel number appears, select "Delete."
5. Poke the Menu button again to exit.

The QV memorized channel number is now gone, restoring the QV function to "Last Channel Recall."

NOTE: If that particular deleted memorized channel was also included among the SQV (Super Quick View) channels, it can then be added back into SQV using the Menu and SQV option.

Hope the above helps those who have encountered the same issue.

System Error oeo1 on Casio Digital Camera QV-R40

Go to the following website:

http://www.oborona.net/stuff/qv-r40/eng/index.html

unfortunately it does not translate very well from its native Russian, but a potted version of what you need to do is as follows:
1. Download the Casio QV-R40 firmware to a safe place on your PC, unzip it, and put a copy of the unzipped binary file onto a blank or spare SD card.
2. Insert the SD card in the camera, and then hold the Menu button pressed in while pressing the On/Off button.
3. A menu will appear on the screen saying Program Update, Yes/No
4. Select Yes and press the SET button.
5. After a short while you should get a message to say the update is complete. Switch off the camera and remove the SD card, and put in another SD card.
6. Switch on the camera, and hopefully it will restart as new. You will need to enter time-zone, date, time etc.
It has worked for me!

Maximale Kapazität von SD-Speicherkarten bei Verwendung mit CASIO Digitalkameras Error 0e01: It has to do with the maximum save capacity of the used SD-Cards (max. 1GB for following models). You can format the card (somehow, maybe with docking station), then it would only have 1GB capacity...
...found on Casio Homepage...

"System error" always needs to be sent into repairs. Give them a call and see what they can do for you. 800-706-2534 and then keep choosing option 1.

SD card problem

Format the SD card using camera's format function. The SD card should work without a problem. BTW, what do you mean by Camera type: Qv-R41/Qv-R51? The camera should be either 41 or 51. 41 is 4MP and 51 is 5MP. Which camera do you have?
