Question about Computers & Internet
The disk ejects but doesn't read as far as I can tell. I've gone through all the checks online. the driver is apparently up to date, but I accidentally downloaded another software where it said a lot of my drivers were out of date and then asked me to pay, so i removed it. In System device manager, the message says it's working fine, but my last solution is to remove it, and give it a good clean before reinstalling it. It's not a big issue as the laptop is just used to surf the net, and watch online stuff, so the dvd rom drive isn't used as much. But if I ever need to install software via disc?.. yes that is a problem!?...
I don't mean to insult you or anything like that, but does your ROM drive actually say "bluray" on it? some company's advertise that they include it and some don't. If you're sure yours does, Try using different Software like VLC to play the media, maybe test the disk in a different device to see if it's the media or actually the drive.
