Question about Precor C846i Upright Commercial Exercise Bike

Precor C846 Upright Commercial Cycle computer wont turn on what could be the problem?

The bike worked fine, but now the computer part will not light up. What could be wrong?

It could be something as simple as the battery. Check the voltage of the battery. Video about How to Test Battery

Why won't my lights work?

Have you checked the wiring to the lights. Sounds like you have a wire that has shorted to ground. Would also explain your battery drain. I'd check the wiring before the ignition switch since it is draining your battery with the switch in the off position.

VDO x2dw cycle computer, sensor 2 doesn't work

Is the sensor properly spaced from the magnet on the spoke? Will the sensor pick up slow revolutions but not fast ones. Do you know that some of the sensors have two batteries in them, one on the top and one on the bottom, and both need to be changed at the same time?

2005 Victory Vegas, Motor lost power when cruising about 65. I thought a plug went out, but the plugs seem fine. Running like on one cylinder but both are working but power is gone. not idling right...

It sounds like computer has put you bike into limp home mode or safety mode to protect the engine. What warning lights do you have if any come on? it sounds like a sensor has either malfunctioned or has done its job properly and picked up something wrong like, temp sensor, oxygen, oil pressure, mass air flow sensor etc. Either way when something is out of the norm form the sensor inputs to the bikes computer it will often limit the revs on the bike putting it into limp home mode to protect the engine.

I personally would be getting a mechanic to put it on a diagnostic machine. If the computer has caused the bike to go into limp mode, your mechanic will more than likely be able read a fault code from your computer to point you in the right direction as to the root cause of this fault.

Well, this is why I don't mess with "computerized" Harleys. I work on the earlier "pre-computer" models without fuel injection. Automobiles are the same way. There are a lot of things that can go wrong with you car or bike that simply will not show up on the computer. Regrettably, most mechanics that are trained today are trained to rely on the computer readout to tell them what is wrong with the vehicle. Other than that, they have no actual troubleshooting abilities.

In your case, try changing the fuel you run in your bike. Some stations are selling fuel that have a higher level of ethanol blended into their fuel than others. I've seen this in cars quite often around here. Now, you didn't say whether you bike was fuel injected or carb equipped. If you installed the V&H exhaust and didn't have the fuel map checked, this may be your problem. Of course, I'm just guessing as I don't know anything about ECM controlled bikes.

The fi light comes on then off like it works but it loudup with gas

Okay. The bike loads up with gas. That is a problem with the fuel injection system. That is also what the FI (Fuel Injection) light is trying to tell you. The bike needs to go to a dealer to have them read the computer codes so you can find out what the computer controlled Fuel Injection system senses is wrong.

Check the fuses too and basically all the wiring, there could be somewhere a loose connection also check the wires at the solenoid switch.
