Question about E-Machines emachines (emachinees) CD-ROM Drive
I would like to know why i am denied access to the functions i want to perform!! then it will say you may not have permission to access this item; contact your administrator. i am the administrator and the only one that use this computer. i am unable to hook up my printer/fax/scanner/copier machine due to the fact i need my administrator rights!!! i have tried other things to do, but again, I HAVE TO HAVE ADMINISTRATOR RIGHTS. what did i do wrong while trying to get my administrator rights back?
Try right mouse clicking on the software you are trying to use & select run as administrator. This works for me. Hope this helps.

Your PC was or is infected with a Virus and that's why the problem is coming. If I am not wrong then I guess, you can not even open the task manager.Isn't it ?
Do you have a proper antivirus?

Tips for a great answer:
Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders
This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.
If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete
After deleting the keys, close the registry editor
Reboot your computer
Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.
hope it helps
