Courtesy Lamps - central junction box. fuse # F1.21 that goes to interior lamp relay in the instrument cluster and F.24 this fuse powers battery saver relay .
The interior light system consists of the following:
front map lamp assembly
front door courtesy lamp
generic electronic module (GEM)
glove box lamp assembly
central security module
interior lamp switch
interior lamp relay
illuminated vanity mirrors (Navigator only)
reading lamp assembly
rear courtesy lamp
running board lamp
underhood lamp assembly
The generic electronic module (GEM) illuminates the interior lamps when an unlock signal is received from the remote anti-theft personality central security module. The illuminated entry feature will be canceled when any of the following conditions are met:
25 seconds have elapsed since the illuminated entry feature was activated and the interior lamp control is not activated (door ajar or courtesy lamp switch on).
The GEM receives a request from the central security module (remote transmitter lock button pressed) and the interior lamp control is not activated.
The ignition is in the RUN or START position and the interior lamp control is not activated.
The GEM will illuminate the interior lamps when any door is open or ajar. The interior lamps are; the dome lamp, the rear cargo lamp, the door courtesy lamp and the side rail lamps. The courtesy lamps will shut off when the doors are closed and the illuminated entry feature is not active or when the vehicle speed is greater than 5 mph (8 km/h). The interior lamps will not be reactivated until the vehicle speed is less than 3 mph (5 km/h) and a new door open warning lamp switch is received.
The GEM controls the interior lamps illuminated entry function by activating the interior lamp relay.
You have an electronic control module and relays involved in the operation of these lights also !
Its probably unrelated to lamp, take the lamp out, try it again and look into the lens, if its still very green the projectors electronics are failing. The projector generates pictures as 3 streams of info Red Green and Blue. It looks like the projectors red and blue electronics are failing, but the green is working.
I have had issues also with the power supply having failed capacitors, tops of caps will bulge up rather than be flat. The most common failure is a popped lamp or defective lamp. Inspect the anode of the lamp, it may have fractured or is swollen at the base.
I buy lamps on line from a company called niosales NEIlamps and electronics.com
no and yes the lamp warning is to alert you that a timer has expired that clocks the approximated life of the lamp in "hours of use". it is never accurate and is dependent on whether or not it was reset the last time a lamp was replaced. reset the lamp timer in the users "setup" menu.
the lamp has NOTHING to do with color, it only provides light.
check the connections between the TV and cable/satelite box...the red.green.blue component connector...the red one is likely loose. if this does not correct you color problem, your optical engine has failed. very expensive repair, not for the DIY type guy.
From the infocus_lp650 manual Table 2: Red LED Behavior Explanation One (1) blink The lamp won't strike after five (5) attempts. Check the lamp and lamp door installations for loose connections. Two (2) blinks The lamp counter hours have exceeded lamp life hours. Replace the lamp and reset the lamp hours counter. Optional Accessories Part Number Three (3) blinks The projector has shut down the lamp. Replace the lamp. Contact Technical Support for repair if replacing the lamp does not solve the problem.. Four (4) blinks The fan has failed. Replace the lamp (the lamp module contains a fan). Contact Technical Support for repair if replacing the fan does not solve the problem. Five (5) blinks The projector is overheating. Check for a blocked air vent. Contact Technical Support for repair if clearing the air vents does not solve the problem.
This is caused by a faile color wheel sensor. This is like a strobe signal and the projector controls the lamp with this signal. When the sensor failed, you get random noise and the lamp control circuitary is going crazy. This is a known problem with the VP63XX series of projectors. I am factory trained and I can fix the problem for you. If you are very good with electronics, I can sell you the repair parts plus instruction.
