No batteries work

I got a red aiptek isdv2.4 camcorder for christmas and when I first used it, it was fine, but after the batteries that were included died out and I tried to put new ones it didn't turn on (energizer and rasor, I think) then when I put in energizer lithium (8 times a normal one) that didn't work.At first the thing says it is full battery life at the bottom corner, then it says that it has low battery life (overlapping the current screen) after 2-8 seconds. Then when I turn it on manualy it has the green light that says it is on but the screen is still off (black).whaddo i do?I keep changing out the batteries too but I still cannot get the camera to turn back on. It worked for one month but now it is useless. Please give me some ideas of what to do short of returning it.

Are you using the same type of battery recommended for it.otherwise it wont turn on,if it turn also it wont give the correct potential to the system.try to check the series no. of the old one and use the similar one on this also .there is no problem with your system, the problem is with your battery or the charging device.thank you

Try to new change battery, I think there is no problem with your cam. Or you can connect directly to AC current using the adaptor.

Have you tried to use it connected to a power supply, to verify that it is in fact in working order?

I bought a AIPTEK P-HD+ camcorder for my daughter on Christmas. She was using it for only 1 minute and it's full. Do I need to buy a SD card to be able to record?

Yes, you need to purchase a memory card. Most cameras, like yours, which do come with an internal memory don't come with a suitable amount of memory to replace the capacity of a memory card.

The camera is burnt and now its all screwed up.

To put it bluntly, throw it away. Applying the wrong power to equipment can cause too much damage for reliable repair. Even if all the bad parts could be found and replaced, other parts will have been stressed and may fail later. Also it's very likely the circuit board has been damaged as well. Replace the unit, and be very careful to use only the proper adapter in the future.

Aiptek won't turn on

Try taking the battery out and putting it back in. I don't know why, but it worked for me. Good luck!

Camcorders

Greetings MoMo Mo,

This camcorder does not come with a charger. It can be energized in two different ways.

1) Power this camcoreder by plugging into your computer with the included USB cable.
2) Use two AA batteries (sold seperately).

I hope this helps.
