Jet DC-1100 and Oneida bags

By Bouncy - usenet poster

I recently upgraded my bags on my Jet DC1100 with Oneida bags. They were
about $100 shipped.

I had the dillemma of having then to fit the lower bag. I did a deja
search and came up with a few ideas, but nothing that was really great.
One guy told me he bought a large band clamp from Grizzly. I believe this
is the one he was talking about:
#

What I have done (temporarily) is to take a ratcheting tie-down from my
truck and attach the bag that way. It will be a pain in the ass to
re-attach after emptying.

What has everyone else done who ran into this problem, and how well does
it work? I could sew a few loops into the bag so the band clamp linked
above will stay attached, but this still seems a little awkward.

I'm looking forward to hearing some working solutions. Please post (and
not email) them.

Thanks, Sam

Sheesh! Why didn't I think if this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Thanks for the post!!

I do not have a Jet DC and I do not use Oneida bags... I own a
Grizzly 1029 DC and am using somebodies (??) 5 Micron bags..
I placed a pair of old bicycle inner tubes around the metal center section of my DC.. then use a regular band clamp to hold the bags tight against the metal... It works fine! no blow by no dust etc. For installing the lower bag...I have 4 big 3" magnets...I slip the bag on the
center section slap the magnets on it to hold in in place. Then grab another band clamp and tighten down over the inner tube...
