I cannot transfer music from my itunes player to my sony walkman nwz-e453 as I have got an appcrash message. what do I do?

Hi Brian
***How to transfer music to an iPod to a Windows computer***

Step 1: Connect your iPod and launch iTunes.
In the iPod management screen, scroll down to Options and check "Enable disk use."
iTunes will give you a warning--select OK.
Note: If you get an error message asking you to reformat upon connecting, your iPod was originally formatted for Mac
and cannot be used in Windows.
One workaround is to install a program like MacDrive, which will allow your Windows machine to read Mac-formatted drives.
Clicking "reformat" will erase your iPod.
Step 2: Now open My Computer and open your iPod drive.
Step 3: Open Tools > Folder Options. Click the View tab and check "Show hidden files and folders."
Step 4: Now in your iPod folder, open iPod_Controls > Music. Highlight all of the folders and drag them into the desired
folder on your hard drive.
This might take a while, depending on how much music you're transferring.
Step 5: Highlight all of the folders again, right-click, and select Properties. Uncheck "Hidden." Close this window.
Once the files are copied, you've successfully transferred the music.
However, you'll notice that the songs have four-letter names and are scattered among many folders.
It's OK. Once you import the music into iTunes (or any other media player), the program will reinstate the titles of the
songs.
Please take time to rate me

Make sure that you have transferred songs with SonicStage and not any other software. If you used a software other than SonicStage, format the WALKMAN with the menu itself and transfer songs with SonicStage.Get SonicStage from link below:http://download.cnet.com/Sony-Connect-SonicStage/3000-2141_4-10375164.html

How to record music from the computer with a SA2325 MP3 Player. Send me the steps to follow. Thanks

Hello,
Overview of online support for SA2325/02 ( GB ):
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpindex.pl?ctn=SA2325/02&slg=en&scy=GB

Link to the user manual:
http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sa2325_02/sa2325_02_dfu_eng.pdf

Music files MP3 or WMA
Music transfer can be made seeing the player as a USB mass storage device in Windows Explorer, exploring the drives on "my computer": the player should show up as a drive letter with about 2 GB of memory.

The files must have the format and extension as shown on page 17 of the manual:
• Compression format: MP3 / mp3 (8-320 kbps
and VBR; Sample rate: 8, 11.025, 16,
22.050, 24, 32, 44.1, 48kHz),
WMA / wma (64-320kbps)
• ID3-tag support: Song title and artist name

Transferring songs from the computer to the player
After exploring the appropriate music files on the computer, the songs can be dragged and dropped to the memory of the player: read the blue
tips on page 11 of the manual.

Always disconnect the player safely after transfers, see point 3.4.1 of the manual on page 11.

-------------------

Audio CD converting to mp3 / wma format: RIPPING
When wanting to convert audio CD's to files that can be played on the player, you could use Windows Media Player 11 or MusicMatch Jukebox using the RIP utility.

  • For WMP 11: update your Windows operating system.
  • When using XP MusicMatch Jukebox 10 can be downloaded from next site:
http://www.soft32.com/Download/Free/MusicMatch_Jukebox/4-277-1.html
Right click on the download file under Soft32 Mirrors and select "Save target as..." Rember the download location for executing the file later, having the MusicMatch Jukebox installed.

I've downloaded songs but they don't show up on my player

Each mp3 player can only play songs in certain formats. A Philips GoGear, for instance, can't read iTunes format. Some players cannot read DRM-encrypted WMA files, which is what most music services use. When you load a song in the wrong format to an mp3 player, the song appears to transfer, but the mp3 player won't actually play it. The best workaround for this problem is to only load songs that are in true mp3 format - they are accepted by 99% of digital audio players. If you give us your manufacvturer/model #, and music service name, we can tell you exactly which formats your player plays.

How do I transfer music into the MP3 Player from rhapsody list?

First, read your manual.
Second, find the name of the folder that the Rhapsody songs are stored in, and copy them or move them to the "My Music" folder on your computer. If you are handy with computers, instead of moving the Rhapsody songs to the My Music folder, go into Windows Media Player instead - click the arrow underneath the Library tab, and select "More Options" --> Library --> Monitor Folders --> Add the Rhapsody folder to your list of folders.
Third, make sure you have Windows Media Player installed on your computer, since that is the program you will be using to transfer the songs. Click on the Library tab, and make sure that the songs show up on your computer. Once you see them, click on the Sync tab and start dragging the songs (no more than 10 songs in one sitting) to the window that says "Drag files here to synchronize..."). Click Start Sync.

Warning: Some GoGear models recognize Rhapsody songs and others do not. If you have Rhapsody's Mp3-Only service, then you are in the clear no matter what model of GoGear you have. If you have one of Rhapsody's other subscriptions, you may be in trouble. If your Go Gear is truly an SA6045, it will recognize DRM-protected Rhapsody songs, so you will be OK. If you have an SA3025 or one of the newer models, you will only be able to successfully transfer songs by signing up for Rhapsody's Mp3-Only service.

Player not reading music.

This problem is usually due to using Windows Explorer or My Computer to transfer files. Although you can use the player as a removable drive, it will not recognise any music tracks transfered in this way. The HDD060 & 070 series have a database of tracks which is read by the player on startup. The player does not scan the drive.

To transfer tracks you need to use the Musicmatch Jukebox software on the product CD. Musicmatch updates the database when transfering music tracks.

This software is not compatible with Windows Vista, or Windows Media Player 11. If you have Media Player 11 you will need to uninstall version 11 to roll back to version 10.

If you are already using Jukebox, the problem may be the way the software is recognising the player. The HDD060 & 070 series show up both as "Removable Drive n:" (Where n can be any drive letter) and "GoGear".

If Musicmatch Jukebox is recognising the player as "Removable Drive n:" then go into the Musicmatch Options, and look for the Devices option or tab. Click the drop down menu next to the "Removable Drive n:" entry and select "GoGear".

The tracks you have already tried to transfer are actually on the player, so you will need to run the Philips Device Manager form the product CD and Restore the player, to free up this space.

You can only transfer music from an ipod to a computer if they were purchased through itunes.

If that's the case, right click on your ipod's name under devices. Then click Transfer music.
