NEC LT265 Multimedia Projector will turn on, but does not fire up

We have a fairly new bulb in the projector. we can turn it on, but the projector does not fire up. there is absolutely no picture. before this, the picture would quit unexpectedly. it did this for a few days before it wouldn't fire up at all. the light on the projector should just be a solid yellow but it flashes.

The lens projector was pushed in and does not turn enough to adjust the focus.

hello therese prof, Hi, the lens is out of alignment, this could be aligned by disassembling the unit up to only on the outer part. of the case. once the cover is removed, you can re align the focus lens. no need to totally dismantle the entire unit. the lens is a separate passive device not connected to the electronics board.

Power light is steady orange and lamp light is red but there is a new bulb in it. NEC VT676

If the unit will not power up it sounds like you may have tripped the lamp timer. You will need the remote plug the unit in and hold down the menu button on the remote for 10 seconds. The red light should go off and the unit should fire up.

NEC LT265 PROJECTOR WILL POWER UP BUT WILL NOT COME ON. BULB IS A YEAR OLD. WAS PLAYING A MOVIE WHEN IT WENT OFF AND WILL NOT COME BACK ON. NOR WIL THE FAN RUN. POSSIBLE BALLAST?

It cannot be a ballast because the fan would not run off a ballast. Sounds like a serious hardware failure, I would check with the manufacturer.

I replaced the bulb in my projector and now it

You need to hold the help button on the remote control for ten seconds, that should reset the lamp hour. NEC decided to make it inoperable after 2100 hours on the bulb.

Nec Lt265 extremely dim

I had this same issue and it was the bulb. We had 2 of the NEC LT265 projectors so we swapped the bulbs between the 2 and it tracked with the bulb.
