If you are using an external receiver, try using a different cable and a different receiver.

Ensure that you do not have PIP or zoom functions active, try using PIP commands on remote.

Try unplugging the TV overnight to reset.

If all that does not work, then it can be a faulty video circuit, problem on dmd board, problem on tuner board.

In that case you will need a technician to fix the problem.

This may sound a bit odd, but the problem is on the PIP module. All video signals pass thru this module. The reason you see hte menu etc, is that those signals are generated in a separate pathway that is merged with the video signal later on. There is a repair kit for these sets that is available for about $14. It includes all of the surface mount capacitors that fail.

Open the unit and look for any burnt capacitors.
Replace them if you find so.

Get the replacement cables from  radio shack web sites and also get the input /output port connector. donot  connect the wires directly to the unit.connect the wires first to the input/output port connector first then to the unit.and then check it will work as new and the picture will be perfect.as in the box you can also set the mode on what you what to watch the pictures.its a common problem solved by many customers facing the problem like yours.

Its the problem of the ports where you insert the wires.the video ic and card internally is proper.you will have to resolder the ports which are connected internally .they tend to get loose many times creating this sdame problem.but a professional has to do the job because the ports are very delicate internally and can break up if mishandled or applied force on them to solder.
thanks.

Sounds like you have cold solder joints, or solder joints on the mainboard which have cracked over time due to thermal expansion and contraction of the circuit board.

Repair is to find and reflow the cracked joints. You may want to consider hiring the services of a reputable repair professional to deal with getting your set back into normal operating condition.

In the meantime, stop using that tv in its current condition! Continued use in that state could make the problem worse or create new headaches that may only allow for a more expensive repair bill.

I recommend having a service shop near you do the repair if you don't have prior electronic repair experience.

Its the problem of connecting wires just remove and reconnect it properly. if still the same problem then it might be inner board problem.that needs to be checked with a meter to locate the faulty on main board.

How do you get your xbox 360 to play, on a 65'' mitubishi projection tv,its connected but nothing comes on screen when i put a movie in just a blank screen and no sound,if i'm on a channel, the channel...

Hello

The Xbox 360 connects to a TV using either

- COMPONENT (red blue green for video, red and white for audio

- COMPOSITE (yellow for video, red and white for audio)

- HDMI

So, if your TV is on a "Channel", it is not on the correct input to view the Xbox 360.

Check the Xbox and verify which cables it is using to connect to the TV. When you find this, follow the cable to the back of the TV and find the input selection. It should be listed as the type and a number (i.e. HDMI 2, COMPONENT 1).

Have the Xbox on. Use the TV remote and use either the INPUT or the MENU options to change the input to the input that matches the port that the Xbox is connected to.

This should make the Xbox work.

When you are done with the Xbox, use the INPUT or MENU to change back to the tuner to watch TV.

Try using a different HDMI port on the TV. It may be you are plugging it into a the DVI-HDMI port, which does not display FULL HD, or carry sound.
Hope this helps

4yr old Mitsubishi DL 52525, HDMI input vide problem

Are you sure its the TV and not the source? Are you sure its only the HDMI port on the TV? The only reason why you must HDMI is to get 1080p and your TV doesn't support 1080p. Its supports up to 1080i. Your TV has a native resolution of 720p which means it can accept a 720p image and not need to scale it, so the picture will look the best at 720p but will support 1080i. I would use component cables to connect your sources and set them to output 720p.
