Question about GE Washing Machines

Water does not stop filling. Causes it to over flow. Large amounts of water flows from under the machine. Can you tell me if there could be a problem with a sensor or something?

It's overfilling If your washer is overfilling, check these:

Water-inlet valve
Water-level switch
Water-inlet valve A defect in the water-inlet valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it. If this occurs, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub. In time, the water may accumulate substantially. If this happens, you need to replace the valve.

Water-level switch A defect--or an obstruction--in the water-level switch may mean that it can't tell the water to shut off. So the machine overflows. This switch senses the water level in the clothes tub. It's usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. You can either clear any obstruction in the tube or replace the water-level switch.

It's underfilling The water-level switch regulates your washer's fill volume. This switch is usually a diaphragm device with a small, clear tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level in the tub increases, the pressure on the air in the tube increases. When the pressure reaches a certain level, it activates the switch, shuts off the water, and signals the timer to begin the agitate cycle. If the switch is defective, it may prematurely signal the water to shut off. If so, you probably need to replace the water-level switch.

Open the top of the washing mash.take every panel you can take of and remove them. Now you can see the electric wires.Check them on mouse (rat) knibblings !
I found a big mouse nest ,and the cable to the water-inlet was bitten completely off.I restored it and all was fine. before i closed it i poured some rat poison under the top panel.

Excessive amount of water accumulating in bottom

By the reservoir, I have made the assumption that you mean the pump filter behind the kickplate flap (bottom right). Even when the unit is working correctly it is quite likely that you will get a couple of jugs of water here. If the machine is spinning effectively, there is no issue. If not then you may need to check the outlet pump flow when disconnected from the plumbing (fill the machine, switch dial to drain and pump into a bucket) the flow should be quite fast but not as fast as say a cold tap on full. If the flow is good, check your plumbing. If the flow is poor you may want to run through a descaler or at the very least a 90 degree cycle and tested again.
Hope this helps

Put the temp select switch on HOT, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. If there is water flow switch to COLD, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount should be approximately equal or slightly more than flow on HOT. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. Move selector to WARM, start machine. Now there should be twice the flow of water than there was with HOT and COLD temps. I suspect it is the HOT side of inlet water valve that has failed because machines usually rinse with COLD water.

Water doesnt stop when filling washing machine

There should be a "fill control" on the panel of the achine that lets you set the fill limit for wash loads ranging from small to large. Obviously, your fill control is not working

Bosch Aquatak Clic 125 running problems - keeps pulsing and unable to reach continuous full pressure - has been working well up to now - water pressure OK

After the machine has stared the wash cycle stop the machine. Check the water level in the sump. It it is below the required fill, the pump will drain the sump, suck air resulting in pulsing.

Add a modest amount of water about a quart or so and try continuing the wash. see if it reduces the pulsing. Continue to add to determine if it is the water level.

If you confirm that the water level is low, depending on the model it usually fills on a timer. If it had been working properly then either the stop valve under the sink has allowed the internal rubber washer to dislodge into the flow path, or the inline filter at the connection to the dishwasher is clogged or the electric solenoid at the washer is failing and not allowing the water to enter at the prescribed amount.

Hope this helps?
Below the stop valve do to the hot water is known to have the rubber seal fail which can plug the hose limiting the water flow. The valve can be repaired without removing it. The stem with the house water off can be removed and a new rubber seal installed. remember to remove the debris from the failed seal.

your fill switch is either bad or "gllitched" and the timer cannot move until this switch senses the right amount of water for the load unless its an electronically sensed water/load capacity filled machine, when it starts, the water fills the unit and the pressure switch shuts the water fill off when at selected water level and powers the timer to continue the wash cycle,it works off a "bellows" on air pressure to change a switch by air pressure to operate the machine when full of water

My whirlpool cabrio doesn't go into the wash cycle it just put the water in and won't stop.

if the unit is not over flowing onto the floor then you need to stop or pause the machine lift the drain hose up to the level of the control panel you should here water drain out of the hose make sure not to l pull it out of the wall.once the water has stopped draining restart the machine and it should fill to the proper level and start the cycle.
if the machine is over flowing the you need to reset or replace the pressure switch that detects the amount of water in the machine

Tiolet not flushing right. Water not coming down the side of the bowl when flushing and 90 percent of the water is gone from the bowl.

1- Check ports out under rim all round bowl.

2-Check tank fill level for required amount to with in 5/8" to top of over flow tube.

3-Make sure 1/4" fill tube is connected to over flow tube. From fill valve to overflow tube.

Below is a few details to go by I hope will be helpful for you to take care of this problem.

Under the rim of the bowl check the ports and make sure they are not stopped up. You can open them up with nail or pin to clean out ports.
Next check tank level and make sure the fill valve has a line run from it to top of the overflow tube. This line allows water to goe to bowl and tank to fill required amount needed.
Water in tank should be within 5/8" to top of over flow tube.

Kenmore HE4T Washer Leak

there are 2 possible causes.
either
inlet valve leaking - turn water off and if water fill stops, it indicates valve leaking
valve being powered when machine off. this is very unlikely but to check, disconnect washer and see if problem stops
also, if drain is plumbed into a spigot on the sink trap, every time you empty the sink, some of the water will flow into the machine. to cure this, take the drain hose as high as possible under the sink in a swan neck

I am getting an error message that says VENTILATE

Try draining the machine. Page 37 of the user manual, Drainage. Place cup under the steam/hot water tube, turn knob clockwise around to 9. If the pump is ok, it will start automatically and start filling the cup. Drain about 1/2 cup of hot water and return knob counterclockwise to start position. If the flow meter is not damaged, the Ventilate message should be gone.
