In my quest to build my 6x17 camera, I've decided against the 90mm angulon and want something in the 120mm range. There is a camera swapmeet next week. I'd appreciate recommendations I can look for in that range (give or take 15mm). Also things to stay away from. Any tips on judging if the lens is in good shape.
Something sharp that will cover 5x7"
Thanks
Mac

I have new Nikkor APO lenses f9 in 210, 240 and 260mm. These are all new in their boxes, the last two easily cover 5x7. They are $145, $165 and $188 each respectively.

What happened was that Fuji didn't import these lenses into the U.S. An American imported them and decided that he would claim greater coverage since the amount of falloff that determined coverage was a matter of judgement. He claimed greater coverage for all the Fiji large format lenses while actual tests showed that they were exactly the same as their counterparts in Nikon, Schneider and Rodenstock lenses. Except these three companies were a bit more ethical than the Fiji importer. The Fuji lenses are perfectly fine optics. No problem. But the covering power is not quite as claimed. :-)

Thanks for the correction. The Fuji specs for the f/8 NSWS and SW lenses indicate coverage angles from 96 to 100 degrees depending on focal length, while the f/5.6 NWS series hovers around 70 to 77 degrees. Both are listed as 6/6 designs. I haven't used the lenses, so I assumed the difference between the f/8 and f/5.6 series was real.

Here's a list of lenses which meet your requirements. As usual, the best performers are the "newer" multicoated lenses from Rodenstock, Schneider, Nikon and Fujinon.
