Question about Gateway 3545GZ PC Notebook
My power adapter for my gateway laptop gets very hot. So hot that I have to unplug it even if the computer is not charged. I am very concerned this could be a fire hazard. Cannot find any recalls on this power cord
I agree that it could pose a fire hazard if allowed to get too hot. Contact Gateway and ask if they will replace it, especially if your computer is still under warranty. If you're no longer under warranty or if they refuse to replace it for you, new power adapters can be purchased for $30-100, depending on make and model.
