Question about GE Profile Harmony DPGT750EC Electric Dryer

Ge harmony won't heat up and blower does not work

We have a ge harmony dryer that will not heat up and the blower will not work. the repair man was here and changed the thermostat and the board and still it does not work, any ideas?

Yes. The blower draws the air from the heat source thru the tub and out the blower exhaust. This link should help with the Blower wheel assembly they also have diagrams or illustrations of your specific model

GE Harmony Elec. Dryer Blower Stops working or won't start up


Do this.

press "Home"
press "Help"
press both "My Cycles" and "Back" at the same time and hold them until service mode pops up.
It will tell you what's wrong.

Sound like you need to replace the heating elament you will need to take your model number and make to repair shop for replacement parts or have a repair person come out and fix it for you . thanx for using fixya

Getting into a ge harmony dryer no heat


The blower motor went out, mine did twice I replaced it and the heat worked. The motor is pretty easy to change.

If you hear the blower ramp up when you start the dryer and if slowly ramps down or quits all together then you need to replace the blower. If the dryer heats at all then look at the blower.

GE Profile Harmony Electric dryer blower issue - how do I access?


You have to remove the control panel, dryer top, top heat shield, dryer front, front drum support, belt, and then the drum in that order to get to the heater. I have been working on these since they have been out and have never changed a heater in one, They just dont burn out. Unplug the dryer and take the access cover off where the power cord attaches to the dryer and make sure the wires are not loose or burnt.

Access to blower


No on the harmony there is no easy way to take it apart. And pretty much no repair is easy on it especially the blower sorry for the bad news its a pretty advanced repair.
