- open the cover
- remove ventilation shroud (black plastic cover)

you'll see that some electronics of the CD/DVD drive are exposed (right side of PC, face of the drive where the CD is inserted)

You can easily locate an LED, if not turn on the pc and you'll see that blink. Right next to it there is a little bump. Try pressing that with something non-metallic, blunt. It should feel like pressing a button, in fact it is a hidden button.

While the pc is on (and still open) press that button once and wait for the disk to eject.

How to repair disc-type faucets

DISC-TYPE FAUCETS

  • Disc faucets may have one or two handles. The water is controlled by openings in the two discs. When the discs are rotated to align, the water flows; when the discs are misaligned, the water shuts off. If the discs wear, the worn discs cause the faucet to leak. Simply turning the handles harder will not stop the leak.

  • To repair a leak in a two-handle disc faucet, turn off the water and remove the handle on the side that's leaking.

  • Use pliers to pull the disc assembly out of the faucet.

  • Beneath the disc unit is the seat assembly, or seal. Replacing this special O-ring may stop the leak.

  • You may need to install a whole new disc assembly for faucets that have been used over a long period of time. In this case, all moving parts of the faucet will have been replaced and should last as long as the original discs did. The parts of some disc units snap apart into a separate bonnet assembly and bottom cap.

  • To repair a leaking single-handle disc, turn off both the hot and cold water and remove the handle to expose the disc assembly. Take out the screws to lift the assembly out of the faucet.

  • You'll notice that beneath the disc unit are three O-ring seals. Though unlikely, water could be leaking between the unit and one of these seals. In this case, you may be able to stop the leak by cleaning the disc assembly and faucet body and installing a new set of seals. If that doesn't work, the entire disc unit must be replaced. This will renew all moving parts.

  • Replacing the unit is fairly simple. Place the three O-rings into their recesses in the bottom of the disc unit. Then install the unit and tighten the screws. Finally, replace the handle–and you're done!

Panasonic dmres30v unable to open dvd drawer led displaying u99 and cant remove

Press the power button on the main unit to switch the unit to standby. When the unit is in standby , press the power button again on the main unit to turn it on. If the unit doesn’t switch to standby, press and hold the power button on the main unit for about 10 seconds to forcibly switch it to standby.

To open the drawer, press and hold STOP and CH UP buttons on the main unit at the same time for about 5 seconds.

We just purchased an XL 340-S amd cannot get it to stick to the dash in my Expedition. Any suggestions?

Step 1: Make sure the dash is clean and dry. Step 2: Take the dash mounting DISC that came with the unit and remove the cover sheet (yellowish in color). This should expose the adhesive. Step 3: Place the adhesive side of the disc on the area of the dash where you want your unit mounted. Be aware that the disc will not remove easily after being placed. Step 4: Press and hold the disc in place and put pressure on it to squeeze out any air pockets. Step 5: Once the disc is in place, ensure that the smooth surface of the disc is clean and dry, and free of grease. Step 6: Press the suction cup on the back of the TomTom windshield mount onto the smooth part of the disc, and rotate the locking ring clockwise until it won't turn any further. The locking ring is used to form an air-tight seal between the suction cup and the surface it is mounted to.
To remove the suction cup from the dashboard disc, simply rotate the locking ring counter clockwise and remove the unit from the disc. The disc remains permanently attached to the dash.

Nakamichi MB-70 CD player - cannot get cd to eject

Having just removed three discs from an identical unit which also jammed, I will say how easy that was. I do not know if the unit will now function when reinstalled in the vehicle.

Remove the unit from its mounts, remove the outer "frame" (if fitted), remove the two #2 phillips pan head screws from the sides holding the face to the chassis, remove the four #0 phillips screws (black, flat head) from the top and bottom of the face plate.

Slide the face plate off and carefully handle it while tethered by its ribbon wire.

Turing the unit upside down, peer into the opening and observe the disc, gently press the carriage away from the top of the unit (now the bottom, as it is inverted) and allow the disc to be freed, simply pull the disc out.

If there are multiple discs stuck inside, oberve the large metal gear just inside, carefully rotate the gear to actuate the loading mechanism as needed to release addtional discs.

Did you try this? When the unit is on, hold down the power button for 10 seconds or more until the unit powers off. Then, turn the unit back on again. You can try to press the eject key before the unit has time to try to "read."
