Question about Swann Communications DVR-4-Net (SWRPCDVR4) Video Capture
Well typically the cameras you have purchased should have their own LEDs installed in the front where the lens is. These smaller cameras with 12 to 38 LEDs are good for a range of only 10 to 30 feet of illumination. Anything beyond that it will not pick up. Check the specs of your cameras, make sure the cameras installed are not too high and also make sure that the distance of what you want to look at is within the cameras LEDs specs. If you do not want to change anything as far as location and height, I recommend getting a LED Illuminator. Unfortunately they usually only run on 110vac, and are somewhat expensive, and have to be mounted above the cameras to get the most of the illumination. This could be pricey because a certified technician should be the only one to install it due to codes and regulations.
