Take the cartridges off and check the connections. Make sure that there is no dust or debris on the contacts. Also take some Alcohol on a swab and clean both areas with it. I would recommend a clean swab for each contact so you do not cross contaminate the leads. When you put the cartridges back in make sure that they seat all the way. I know that there are some cases where the cartrages look like they are seated properly but not.

Turn the printer off and then on again. see if that helps. If not try another usb port. Let me know how that goes. seems the computer is unable to talk to the printer as in it seems to be disconnected or not installed properly.

Did you try uninstaling the printer, rebooting, and let Windows detect the printer for you? That's the only thing I can think of. You did everything else, lastly, go to the manufacturer website and look for troubleshooting for your particular device, it could be a known issue they have dealt with....

    Thanks.

    Let me try once again......

    So, Lets start from scratch.....

    1. uninstall all drivers and reinstall

    2. Check firewall seting

    3. Disconnect and connect USB

    4. Go to control panel and check, the printer must be selected as default.

    5. Check all cables once again.

Now, if it doesnot work, try to use the same on another pc.

If that would work, something we have to troublshoot for printer. Unless check the usb, might be that's faulty.

    Thanks.

When the print cartridge contacts are dirty and the printer cannot detect/communicate with print cartridge.

Clean the contact points on the cartridges with a dry, lint-free cloth.

1. Open the top cover of the printer.

2. Remove the print cartridges.

3. Clean the copper-colored contact points on the cartridges with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture from the contacts.

5. Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

6. Close the top cover.

7. Try printing again.

If you still cant communicate try with new cartridge .

I just refilled my ink cartrages for my Canon MP210 all in one printer and it still says low ink?

AFTER REFILLING A CARTRIDGE, THE PRINTER NEVER SHOWS THE INK LEVEL.
BUT IT WILL WOK FINE.
THE INK LEVEL WILL BE ONLY SHOWN WHEN YOU WILL PLACE A NEW CARTRIDGE.

How to refil Cannon LBP2900 cartridge

you do not have to take the whole printer to the shop to fill the ink cartrage if you have the manuel to the printer it should tell you how to remove the ink cartrage and replace it with a new one and also they may have a refill kit at one of your local computer stores or where they sell ink and they should be able to tell you how to get the ink cartrage out to replace it

Color ink cartridge says empty i just filled it

When you put in a "new" cartrage the printer sens an electrical charge to the cartrage to set it up properly. So I would treat this as a new cartrage, rather than a refilled one. Go to the printer menu and re install the ink cartrage in question, it should recognise it and start the function as a new one, good luck

How do you check ink levels

Introduction This describes how to check the estimated ink level in the cartridge. NOTE: Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When an indicator shows low ink levels, keep a replacement ink cartridge available to avoid possible printing delays. Ink cartridges do not need to be replaced until print quality becomes unacceptable. Checking ink levels Perform the following steps to check the estimated ink levels: NOTE: If you have installed a refilled or remanufactured print cartridge, or a cartridge that has been used in another printer, the ink level indicator will be inaccurate or unavailable.
  1. Open the Printer Toolbox . There are two ways to do this:
    • Click Start and select HP Solution Center . Select the Settings menu, then the Print Settings submenu, and finally the Printer Toolbox .
    • In your printing application, click File , click Print , and click Properties . Click the Services tab, then the Service This Device icon.
  2. The Printer Toolbox opens. Click the Estimated Ink Level tab. A cartridge may be running out of ink even if the graphic shows ink remaining (see the note at the start of this section). Lines or streaks always appear in printouts when the cartridges begin to run out of ink. Replace print cartridges that are out of ink or low on ink. Figure 1: Estimated ink levels
