Memory or mobo problem?

I just want to know about my pc i have a mobo ecs elite p4m890t-m and i installed 3gb of ddr2 667 but when i using my pc after an hour my pc gets hang and i nid to restart it manually then suddenly i read the manual odf my mobo and o realize that the memory that i should installed is ddr533..i just wondering y my pc run in ddr2 667 even in manual its just wrote that it can only be ddr2533?i just want to know what to do because my pc gets hang always...tnx a lto to those who can help me here..

    Your  computer is likely hanging because the Ram speed is faster that the BIOS was set to run. Change out the RAM for the proper speed one, the  DDR2 533.

If the memory slots have the same number of pins and fits in the slot provided for that bus type, you can run the memory. But due to the limitations of the hardware, it will only run at its peak Mhz of 533. This could cause a problem for the motherboards bus. I suggest using the recommended memory for the system.

Yes, the video processor (which is used only after the driver is installed) has some shorted channels in it and when they are accessed the data is corrupted and it crashes the system.
Time for a new one.

I have a GA-EP43-DS3L/S3L gigabyte motherboard i have installed a 3 DDR2 memory in 3 sokets ,and when i start my system and checked my memorysize from (right click on my computer / properties/ general)...

hey buddy if ur Using Windws Xp then it will only Show 3GB.Because Xp has a Memory Limit of 3GB.the Rest is per ur MOBO it will Support Upto 16GB.

.if Ur using Windows Vista then there is problem.Check ur Bios.and find the Amount of Ram shown there

You will be fine with nVidia 9800 ! thats perfect for your mobo.
Youst make sure you have enough of memory to, those games you talking about needs a lot of memory to work perfect.
I suggest you install at least 3GB memo, or even better 4GB. Thats the maximum of memory you can have on that mobo.
