I tried to connect a drawer to the cash register, while paging through the menus to locate the function to activate the communication connection it froze up, so i pull the plug, disconnect the backup battery, thinking that it will reset itself like a PC do, but when i reconnect the backup batteries and turn it on there's nothing on the screen, just white and black rectangles with snow dots on it ! ! !
i think everthing is lost, but still, did anyone has any idea what happened ?
Did you let it stay like that for 5 or 6 minutes to see if it reset or did you shut it back down immediately? Sounds like you did nothing wrong, I mean what if the electricity went out it would be the same thing as what you did...if it did fry something would it happen to still be under warranty? A power surge would have produced the same result.

You will need to see a dealer and quote the drawer number which usually starts with "DL". If you need the whole drawer, it may not be cheap. They usually sell drawer parts.
As long as you are able to complete the sale normally (or use the no sale function), the problem is usually due to a locked cash drawer or something jamming the plastic insert inside the drawer. ----------
Your programmer has set a drawer limit and the machine is telling you that the cash limit has been reached. Your manager should now clear the drawer and reset the function.
Hi sunny. The DL number is just the number for the cash drawer itself. Have a look on the actual cash register to find the model number. It will usually start with TK or CE or QT etc. When you find the model number, ask the question again and I'll try to help.
Hi. If you've let the drawer wires touch, then you may have blown the drawer kick circuit in the register. the only other thing I've had is when the drawer has been turned off for a particular (or all) clerk. If you have not changed any programming just before it stopped working, then you will need to take it to a service centre to have the kick transistor etc checked.
