Trying to rest it, I push the on/off button and the unit goes off, then beeps and comes back on on its own. The oly way to make it stay off is to physically unplug it. I can not adjust the temp control without it shuttting off, beeping, then turning itself back on. I am assuming the default settings are zero for the freezer and 37 for the fridge as it won't move up or down from there without shutting off. In the last day or so, the fridge will not cool staying at about 48 degrees and the freezer is staying around 17 degrees . We have cleaned the coils, we have unplugged it for about 10-15 minute with the freezer door open and we are still having issues. The fan next to the coils has come on and I can hear the compressor kick on. Does anyone know what might be my issue?
Hi katelynn_did - When the refrigerator is beeping or buzzing, it may be a warning sign of a possible malfunction or an unsafe, interior temperature. Typically, that is correct, to silence the buzzer, you can depress the ALARM OFF button. However, since you have already tried unplugging the unit and issue persists, it could possibly be experiencing a communication problem with the temperature control/board, faulty internal sealed system or wiring failure. I would recommend connecting with a professional appliance tech for a clear-cut diagnosis.

Compressor is cutting on/off on overload, some are located on the side of the compressor, some inside the compressor. My advice is to install a start kit on the compressor. It is a combination overload/start relay/capacitor.You can get these at an appliance repair shop, just follow the instructions.Hope this helps. If I can be more help, write.
