Question about Cadet Manufacturing CADET SL Series Small Room Heater Wall Heater Heater Assembly and Grill Only 120 Volts 1000 Watts (...

Open Question

Won't go forward or backwards

I was mowing with my Cub Cadet Series 1000, Model LT1045 when it just stopped. The motor will run but when you press the pedal to go forward it just sits nor will it go backwards. I raised it up both back tires will move but one goes in one direction the other in the opposite direction. The wheel release that is located on the rear of the lawn mower when it is pulled out it still will not let the mower roll. What could the problem be?

Can anyone help? My Cub Cadet LT1045 won't move (foward/backward).

Hi, check that the drive belt, pulleys and shafts are all ok and that they are actually driving the transmission, hopefully you will see the problem. If the transmission is driving ok and the fwd and reverse lever is functioning as you said, the transmission may have failed. Also check the hydro release lever is functioning. Regards Phil.

Cub cadet model LT1045 belt coming off the pulley for cutting deck?

FINAL SOLUTION TO FIX THE BELT FROM COMING OFF LT1045 WHILE MOWING!

I also had this issue with my LT1045 belt. However, I just figured out how to finally fix / re-engineer my LT1045 Cub Cadet from having issues with the belt coming off of the deck while mowing.

Taking it back into a shop for repairs will not work, the belt will just come off again the first time you mow. I am making a YouTube Video to help others like me with this mower issue and will post a link here soon showing how to fix this design flaw.

It took me about an hour to fix but I've got it working now with no problems, minimum vibrations and belt is running cool now! I've gone for 2 months with no problems now. Check back soon for the link!! I expect I will have the video tutorial finished within a week!!
