I have a rt2770 home theater receiver rca. When i turn it on it displays as usual and then it says ''Hp in'' and no sound comes out. It use to say ''Hp out'' and worked fine. I,ve tried to change it but can.t any help?
Mine does the exact same thing. If I pick up the front end of the unit and slam it down on a hard surface, it then displays HP out and sound comes out!! Freaking retarded. I wish I knew what was wrong with it! I asked RCA and of course they never responded. What a joke!

use rca red and white to connect to input on home theater, plug other end into tv output, now go into tv settings and find speakers and turn on external speakers, connect hdmi from home theater to tv input, you cannot record tv stations.
You wanna try changing the mode of sound. And for the volume, try contacting RCA to figure that out. Could be interfeiring remote signals. Also, you can post a question, just like this, on their support website. Click Here for that website.
From what I can understand, you want to use your RCA home theater remote on your Panasonic PV-DM2792. Unfortunately, you didn't say which RCA home theater system you have, so we don't know which remote you are using. We need you to tell us either the model of the remote, or the model of the RCA home theater system so that we can find out what model remote you have.
Do you mean 5 RCA audio outputs marked as FrontLeft, FrontRight, RearLeft, RearRight, Center? Unfortunately this receiver doesn't have discrete 5ch inputs (as yamaha calls it on its webpage). But the cable box should have also digital audio SPDIF output - that is either optical (square connector) or coax (RCA usually orange). You can use this for connecting to receiver.
You don't say how the Samsung routes out to the receiver. I assume you're using its RCA audio L and R jacks. Inability to adequately lower volume usually means you're NOT using a Line Level input, but maybe a speaker feed.
Your TV may have a setting for variable audio out, but even if you use the fixed setting you should be able to lower the playback volume to something comfortable with the receiver's volume knob. It does go down to completely OFF, right?
