MY PSP won't acknowledge any of my game cartridges. I followed the steps in the manual but no results. The rest of the functions of the PSP are all working fine. I just can't play any games.

This sounds like the laser could be going out. Before that is said try taking a Q-Tip and some alcohol, open the cover and to the best of you ability clean the laser off with the Q-Tip makng sure you leave no fibers behind. It is ok if some alcohol gets down inside of the system it will not hurt the system like water does.

Printer wont acknowledge ink loading

Make sure you are using genuine Lexmark cartridges. Refilled cartridges won't be able to register ink levels. If you are using original supplies, it could be just a slight cartridge communication error. Try the steps below:
  1. Make sure the printer is on. Open the printer cover.
  2. The carrier should move to its loading position. Open the latch and remove the cartridges.
  3. Close the latch.
  4. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where the power cord is plugged in to, and re-insert after 10 seconds.
  5. When the printer turns on, re-insert the cartridges. Close the printer cover.
  6. Check on your computer if ink level is acknowledged.
  7. Try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

Hi just recently my psp cd rom case came off. as a result,it cant read the UMD. can anyone help? thanks nihal

Well, you should clean the CD and check for scratches and attempt to fit the case back on snug. If it still won't read it, you need a whole new game sadly.

When i turn on my psp the green light will come on but the screen won't come on and then a few seconds later the green light will shut off completely.

Hi tokyo_grl,
First you have to figure out what is causing the problem. Try the following steps.

1. Remove anything that is connected to the PSP, including the
Memory Stick, battery and any UMD games.
2. Plug the charger into both the wall and the PSP system, then wait for at least 30 seconds before turning the psp on.
--If the PSP turns on, your problem is not with your PSP, but with an accessory that was previously attached. If it does not turn on, your PSP is in need of a repair.
3. Next, unplug the power adapter from the PSP, and firmly place the battery into the PSP.
4. Plug in the Power Adapter once again, and wait at least 30 minutes for the PSP to begin charging, then try and power on the PSP system.
--If the PSP does not power on with the battery plugged in, but it did with just the charger, you need a new battery. If it powers on, do the next step.
5. Place the Memory Stick inside the PSP , and turn on the power. If the PSP does not turn on, but it turned on without the memory, you need a new memory stick.

If your PSP did not turn on during step 2, your PSP is bricked and indeed needs to be repaired by a qualified technician. I hope everything works out for you. Good luck.

Game sharing

In order to game share between two PSP's you need to obtain a game displaying the game sharing icon.

To share a game, first enable the Wi-Fi switch on the PSP you want to share the game from and on any PSP you want to share the game with.

Next, Browse to the game sharing option in the game you want to share and access the Game Sharing Icon on the other PSP(s) to search for the game.

When prompted, select the game available to share.

Finally, On the PSP that is sharing the game, accept the transfer and wait until the transfer is complete. Follow the instructions in the manual of the game to begin multi-player gaming.

Games

Hey mygz43,

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to convert PS1 games over to your PSP without altering the system’s firmware and possibly violating several end-user license agreements in the process.

Sony does however, support a function of the PSP called "remote play" that allows you to play content that is currently loaded into a Playstation 3 you own over a WLAN, home network or via internet access. Typically this means that you would need to physically have a PS1 disc in the PS3 in order to play it, though content that is stored on the PS3's hard drive can also be played as well. Please remember though that not all PS3 models are backwards compatible to the PS1, and some titles may encounter graphical glitches or playback errors.

If you would like more information on this function, I would strongly suggest checking out Sony's support page for further details and step-by-step instructions:

http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psp/current/network/remoteplay/

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
