Question about Linksys WRT160N Wireless Router
My router works for my desktop not for my laptop i have vista for my laptop when i try to add another computer it wont let me it say internet connection
Make sure you have wireless enabled on your router and on the laptop. For the router, on your desktop open a web browser. Type in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. The default user name is blank and the password is admin. This will log you into your router. Once logged on, click on the wireless tab. Make sure that wireless is enabled and you have an SSID (also known as a Network ID). Also, make sure SSID broadcast is enabled. When this info is verified and set up you can close the web browser.
Now move to the laptop. Click once on the network icon on the taskbar (the 2 computer monitors by the clock). Select "Connect or disconnect..." When the window comes up, select your wireless connection.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
