Do you live in a house or some sort of complex? If you live in a home, then I would suggest verifying the connection to the outside antenna. If you live in a complex (apartment, condo, etc.) then the possibility exists that there is no outside connection (to any broadcast source) except for cable.
Good luck with that TV, my parents bought one in January and the picture is amazing.
Acessing personal secrect codes is not possible, could be anythings, tries call Insignia tv customer service 1-800... telephone line in ur manual ask them how to reset personal screct codes.Must have the original tv remote to do this, like entering numbers.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an exact remote to ur original tv remote.
It sounds to me like you need to block the channels on the converter box for freeview. The television parental control will only work if you are using basic cable hooked directly into your tv. Otherwise, all of the channel control functions are handled by the control/converter box from your service provider. If you do have cable hooked directly into your set, try consulting the owners manual either online or the copy provided with the television. Good luck, Russmann.
Did you try to call LG/Zenith customer support and see if they can help you? If not find your nearest LG/Zenith service center (not Best Buy) preferably a small service shop to see if they have a service remote to unlock it
Press menu, the on screen display menu opens with set up highlighted. Use the up and down arrows to find the features section. use the right arrow to enter.then use the up and down arrows to highlight password. Enter the numbers 3448 for the old password. Then enter a new password. You can enter 0000.press enter. The number 3448 is the master password for resetting the password. I hope this information helps you with your problem.
the problem is not the cable into your house, but the amplifier it self, if the amplifier is not been powered if a rightful voltage, that can happen. if you are not happy with the output than take your tv to a repair shop, so that an amplifier can be worked on.
I had the same problem with my TruTech TV after i recieved cable from Time Warner Cable. We aslo thought it was the cable but it was obviously the TV, so my boyfriend went to the options and went to change password and put 0000 or 1111 and it asked to pick a new one so he just put 0000 again as the new password then he went to V-Chip and it asked for the password and that takes you to parental control and then you just true it off and your offical back in business and youll be able to watch anything you want now
Check scart to tv is in the correct socket marked TV.
Try pressing services
then system setup
then picture settings.
Then try switching scart control to on or off.
If this sorts it great. If it doesnt check scart lead has all pins wired & not only A few.
