Go into Device Manager, then right-click on the problem hardware, and select
properties. From there, you can get computer to look on the Internet for updated
drivers.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

My j5 create VGA adapter will not connect

So the major limitation on today's computers is the Max power available to the USB bus on the motherboard. Last I checked this was 1,000 mA. This unit draws 500 mA. Depending on how many other things are connected via USB to the laptop, youmay not have enough power to drive the dongle. Best solution for this, even if it isn't the problem, is to get a powered USB hub. That relieves the need for the OS to do calculations on which devices get USB power at start up.
Try this if you can.

Bridgeview 2-port USB/DVI KVM Switch not seeing the Kybd

With under $30 price, the DVI KVM switch with all-in-1 cable attached is a steal if it works. However, this kind of KVM switch is based on low-end USB hub structure or emulated USB structure.
For Windows 7 or newer OS, it will cause more compatibility issues. It is not driver issue. A hardware-base KVM switch 99% of them doesn't need driver.
My suggestion to you - looking more solid KVM switch technology - DDM based KVM switch. They are more expensive but in a long run, it is a better deal.

When i keep this hub pluged and try to reboot,

I devised these simple steps that tend to remedy quite a few issues with most portable / external hard drives and devices (though not always)

A few things to check but assumes USB and Windows for other interfaces / operating systems similar steps may be adapted to suit.

1. Ensure it is connected directly to the computer to a USB 2.0 port not a USB 1.0 port as this can have effects on performance and reliability

2. Use only the cables that came with it NOT one that fits that may have been lying around or is longer. Not all USB cables are equal even though they should be)

3. Do not connect through an external USB HUB unless that hub is USB 2.0 AND has its own power supply.

4. Use ONLY the power supply that came with it if it has an external power supply Don’t use any other unless you know it has both the same voltage and current rating e.g. 12V 500mA anything rated below that would not work properly.

5. Always use the same port for connecting your devices. Some devices do not like being switched about. If switched they may want to install software / drivers again. This can be especialy true if you move a HUB to another port

If you checked and fixed anything there and still have issues then check your hardware from CONTROL PANEL / SYSTEM / HARDWARE.
Any exclamation marks by hardware need fixing before you investigate any further

Laptop keeps searching for unnecessary driver

Might be a good idea to try picking up a driver anyways. Any kind of USB device whether it be a printer, a flash drive, or a USB hub requires a driver for communicating with the device. I'd suggest taking a look on Targus' website and downloading drivers specifically for your model of hub, for your OS. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Disable plug & play from BIOS. Now re-install the game and the required driver. From Control Panel--systems--Device Manager, check the properties of the Graphics card drivers and check if there is any clash of resources, if so then allot it manually. Hope this works....sodeep

Usb ports on monitor

All you have to do is connect the monitor to the CPU using a USB cable in addition to the usual installation ( check the slots available on the monitor for the type of USB cable you need ), then all your USB slots on the monitor will come alive. Its just like a USB extender ( except that this is included in the moniter).

Enjoy

Dell 1907fp USB port not working

The big question is do you have the USB uplink cabled from the monitor, connected to a USB port on the system?

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/1907FP/en/about.htm#Bottom%20View

Item #5 needs to be connected to your system's USB port via a USB cable. The ports on the monitor are just a USB hub.

Memory upgrade

I like all the information you gave. However the information you are looking for is in the manufactures web site. goto search engine and enter your computers manufactures name followed by the word "support" find the site and then look up the details for your computer. The reason I say this is because each slot can only control a certain amount of memory. The manufacture will tell you what each slot can control and also the type of memory supported by your motherboard. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT> never mix memory. Make sure of speed and capacity. If you mix diffrent speed and capacities the results could end in total failure.
