Contacts do not have any difficulties with seeing or hearing each other.

It is only that I can not see them, but I can take a snapshot from them.

Okay, make sure you have your installation cd that the webcam software is on and go to start, go to settings, click on control panel, and select add or remove hardware. Find your hardware in the list that comes up and click un-install. Make sure that the webcam is not plugged into the computer while you do this. After it is finished un-installing, if it does not ask you to, go head and restart your computer. After it restarts, load the software back on and then plug up your webcam. Then start it over and it should work. If it still does not, ask the other user if he can see himself from is webcam on his computer.

Hi!

You have to put the USB cable of the webcom properly in the slot provided in the front or back of the computer. You need a headphone to hear the voice of the person and putting the two wires in the headphone jack. Also check if the webcam drivers are installed. Go to Control Panel >Scanners and Cameras and see if your device is present there or not.

There is no solution as such, but the Messenger team have recently updated the webcam feature to make it more reliable. Update to the latest version of Windows Live Messenger at download.live.com and see if that fixes the problem. However, it could just be a poor connection at your, or your contact's end.

Go into the skype setup and access the webcam from there and test setup sound / picture etc.

Ensure you tick a box that says "Show video as soon as connection is made" or similar.

Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype (http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/download/skype/windows/beta/downloading/ ) set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
  4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger (http://www.soft32.com/download_30.html ) set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.
Hope this helps. Bud
