This sounds like the display has gone faulty if the line never moves and is always there im afraid that the display has lost its pixles the only thing you can do is change the display i would advise to buy a new set possibly a panasonic or samsung.

Mines a LG RZ42PX11 it intermittently gets a black vertical line down the middle of the screen.

Hi I have a LG RZ42px11 there are 6 vertical thick black lines running down the middle off the screen, when cold the TV seems OK but if it has been on for around 10mins or on standby the lines stay on screen.

Thanks.

Black Line down middle

The line is from ink coming up from the absorber pads on the bottom. It needs a good cleaning and a mylar sheet to keep the ink from coming up onto the rollers. A shop repair.
