I've had consistent dsl internet service for over a year now using a Westell 6100. Then, starting yesterday, I've had periods of a red internet light (no internet), no internet light (no internet), and then a full green internet light (internet acess). I have what is called a dry loop phone line (not an actual phone line - only for internet use). I've heard that a red light may mean phone trouble, but I'm not sure that is the case. I've had a Tivo for four months, but haven't had any problems prior to this. Anyone have any suggestions?
How long have you had your router and how well is it maintained and well vented? Even the most expensive routers need these two things consistently. Failure in doing this may result in a shorter life span than normal. My guess without actually being there is that it's time to try a new one. If you get the same problem with the new router, take it back immediately and call your ISP for service. It could be possible that there is some phone work being done in the area, and you just happen to be a victim!

After reseting my DI-524, accessing it yields screen telling me to update the firmware. I've tried to several time, but it just causes the router to lock up. I've tried reseting the unit again. And, yes I've cycled the power a few times ? no love. Y'all have any voodoo to solve this problem?

I bought this router 2 days ago. I pluged in the phone socket (with micro filter), and into mains,it worked perfectly on my daughters' (each daughter has a laptop - all work)laptops, and one of my desktop PC, but it does not work on my old Toshiba Satellite A60 laptop (with build in wireless). The status says it connected and signal strenth is excellent, but I cannot open a browser, so cannot get on internet. why?

Purchased Dragon Age Origins. When I launch the game I am unable to log into the web server because the game software says I am not connected to the internet. The Internet performance issue tips says I need TCP ports 80, 8000 and UDP 80, 8001. I have a Cisco WT54G2 Router and do not know what I am doing in providing access to these ports for the game.
