Is there a suggested way to safely do that without ruining my machine? What type of oil? What do you use to squirt/apply the oil?

It could be the chrome plated shaft the cartridges ride on. Lube with oil.

My printer squeaks/squeals when its printing. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi,

Sometimes squeaking can be caused by the toner cartridge. Try reinstalling the cartridge or installing another. This cartridge's yield is 2500 pages. When is very used, it could make rare sounds. Always use genuine HP cartridge.

The arm of the pick-up roller is loose... is normal.

If the pick-up roller have a very smooth surface, replace it. Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

Canon Pro9000 MarkII roller squeal

You do not use lubricant on printers. Clean all roller and bars with Q tip and acohol. Make sure alcohol is squeezed out so it does not drip inside printer. The noise should stop. If it does not it is the belt that drives the capstans (rollers) that is worn out.

When running it has a very high squeal after it has been turned on a few minutes. maybe a belt issue?

es the belt runs on a belt tensioner that has a roller with a breaing inside the roller. The bearing is locked up causing the roller not to move no longer. This is making the belt squeal. If ran much longer the belt will burn off deleting the squeal although the drum will not turn. Replace the belt and the roller assembly. The tensioner will still be fine to use for it is a spring tension device that out last any dryer

I have a dryer that is making squeal as the

Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication.
If you have a front loading machine, Unplug the dryer, remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers.
Check your rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them replace them.
If they don't then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve you noise problem.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

My HP Officejet 6310 makes a squealing noise when printing, like the roller needs oiling-any suggestions on what to do?

turn off the printer..connect the printer to wall outlet..and try to make a copy..if its still the same..perform these steps..
1)unplug the power chord from the back of the printer..
2)press and hold OK and CANCEL button together..
3)while pressing these two buttons plug in the power chord to the back of the printer..
4)after you plug in the power chord do not release those two buttons..
5)keep pressing those two buttons till the screen goes blank..
6)once the screen is blank release the buttons and turn on the printer..
7)wait for the printer to get initialize..
8)once the initialization is complete..try to make a copy..if the printer is still making noises..then machine should be replaced..
let me know after you perform these steps

HP 2100 makes squealing noises

It could be a roller, a drum, sometimes the auger in the cartridge can do it.

Should have a technician look at it to find specifically where it is comming from.
