Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

1 Answer

After the wash cycle is complete the clothes are still wet.

Even though the cycle says it's complete the clothes are still sopping wet, i put them thru the spin/drain cycle, it helps a little, but not completely.

do you mean the panel right under the door? how do i get that off of there?

  • kristi312 Mar 10, 2009

ok, i did that. there was some nasty stuff in there. we also cleaned out the long tube in the back of the washer. again, yuck. so we've washed another load, and still, the sogginess continues. any other options? thanks.

Open the machine and remove the drain pump. Clean out any debris and try again.
Remove the front panel.
The pump should be directly in front of you. Open it and clean it.
This procedure will have to be done occasionally.

Yes. Should be 3 screws across the bottom of the panel.

Remove the pump motor and bench test it with a 120 volt jumper wire.

Hi, my neptune washer will not spin clothes dry they come out sopping wet. can you help? thanks

if there is water standing in your washer your pump is clogged clear it out and will correct the problem ; if there is no water in the machine when you complete the cycle but the clothes are wet it did not spin more than likely your door switch is probably bad replace it

Spin cycle not completely spinning out

Could be something stuck in the pump. Could be a bad belt.
This brand eats belts if the tub is overloaded even occasionally.
Remove the front panel and inspect the belt. Any glazing on the belt it should be replaced.
Remove and check the pump while you are there.

On one wash clothes came out sopping the next there was no water

Check the drain hose for kinks or blockage. The drain hose should be free in the drain pipe so air can get around it. The drain should be good enough to accept a lot of water all of a sudden without overflowing.

How can i fix my washer myself?

The washer will not ever completely drain according to Maytag. A certain amount of water stays in the outter tub for balancing the machine for final hyper-spin. However if the machine is not spinning all of the water out and your clothes come out sopping wet....read the long thread I typed out to another person earlier.....it's about 2-3 questions up on the same topic
