What does code 21 mean - Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer

E21 Circulating pump blocked.

A blockage between the motor or the pump resulting in insufficient water flow.

It seems to suggest that you are using unsupported media to record on.

F 21 indicates a drain problem.... mostly due to a clog. Google

Jeff: Go to "Allpar dot com" website and look for a complete list of codes for the older Chryslers. From mine I remember code 34 as having at least two posible meanings: a) EGR Solenoid circuit problema, and b) Speed control problema. Code 21 means a problema in the Oxygen sensor. Amclaussen.

Well, the code 12 is telling you the battery or the computer has been disconnected in the last 50 starts, code 21 is a problem with the O2 sensor, and code 55 is telling you there are no more trouble codes stored in memory.
Code 21 means the O2 sensor is not switching from rich to lean, which can be a faulty sensor or a fuel problem.

Code 12 = unplug battery recently (allways appear this code)
Code 21 = O2 sensor (the way to solve is replace it)
Code 55 = finish test

Code 21 the check engine light will flash 21 times cycle the ignition key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 5 seconds. To cycle the ignition key ON means to turn it only as far as it takes to get the radio to come on. It does not mean to turn the engine on.

I don't have a dodge ram but the codes for the dodge vehicles where pretty much the same. For my intrepid the codes read for the following numbers

12 - Problem with battery connection (This usually happens if you disconnect the battery)
21 - Problem with the oxygen sensor circuit
52 - Oxygen Sensor signal input indicates rich mixture during engine operation.

It sounds like you may need to change an oxygen sensor. Hope this helps.
