Question about Toshiba Satellite A135-S4437 (492411122905) PC Notebook
My screen on my Toshiba A135-S4437 has gone very dark, it can only be viewed with a flashlight or bright lamp dirrectly on it. Do I need to replace my entire screen to fix this? Is there maybe and easy solution to this I could repair myself?
First I would check to make sure that the contrast/brightness buttons on the laptop weren't accidentally changed, making the screen dark. Also, try with and without the battery and power supply. Otherwise, unless it is actually the screen that is defective, it is usually a power converter replacement, which is a small circuit board, usually under the plastic cover directly under the monitor, which supplies power to the monitor. You may want to take it to a shop as they can isolate the issue easier.....
