Question about Grilling

Chef Regency fan forced gas wall oven and grill. Grill gas won't stay on.

I have a Chef Regency fan forced gas wall oven and grill. Grill gas won't stay on after release of knob. I can manually light the gas grill while holding in the control knob as required to start gas flow (auto spark ignition not working), but after it is lit, and even has burned for a minute, as soon as knob is released and pops back out, the gas goes off. Many thanks Frank

Quick PS; I would love to locate a service manual for this oven/grill, if anyone knows where. Thanks

2nd quick PS; The digital display in the top control panel is intermittent, but doesn't prevent the upper oven section being lit manually and used. The door switch on the lower grill compartment is sticky at times but multiple operations of it have not changed the main problem above.Thanks.

SOURCE: Flame will not stay lit in oven of countrychef 100g

Yes very simple. There is a bulb the flame is heating with a small tube that runs to the gas valve this is the saftey sensor that is bad called a thermo-couple , they are common to go out and should be easy to find online. Let me know if you have any other questions.

SOURCE: my electrolux oven won't stay lit

Right above your pilot light, there is a little temperature probe. It either needs to be cleaned, replaced, or adjusted closer to the top of the pilot flame. Hope this helps. Good luck!

SOURCE: Tec Grill Sterling Model won't stay lit

The dealer is right. The ceramic burner is cracked. It will need to be replaced -- pretty pricey. I have the same problem on my Sterling III. This DOES happen too often. My opinion is that this IS a manufacturing defect. I have called the company about it (they are in South Carolina) and they try to blame the user -- that would be us. Very unfortunate company chooses to act this way. You hear about this problem again and again and again -- it's their problem but sadly, they are making it ours. Remember that when you go grill shopping next time -- I know I won't buy a Sterling grill again. Ever.

Chef Regency Gas Wall Oven - oven fan working, light working , grill working as well but the main oven not responding when turning dial. The Piezo ignition is intermittent and no gas sound coming out.

The Piezo control board opens the gas valve while it makes a spark. Once the flame is lit the milivolt flame sensor holds it open from there on. Replace the piezo control board to fix.

My Chef Classic Wall mounted fan forced oven stopped working. Its grill section working. Fan and the light in the oven working well. Bot oven doesnot heat up. Please give a tip what is probably wrong?

The bake element has gone bad. They can visually look fine but still be bad. To check and replace that element you will unfortunately need to kill the power and remove it from the wall. Remove the back cover. Check for a low resistance (around 16 ohms) across the bake element. If the resistance is high the element is bad. Google the make and model for a replacement element.

Don't know how will the chef premier fan forced grill work please help thanx neha

The fan radiates the heat to the food to be cooked in the steady heat . when the heat is modest the fan does the convecction well to keep all the areas well heated.
So use only the required heat and the best timing

Not heating in fan forced mode

Possibly your fan element has blown. Try and take the cover off that coves the fan inside the oven itself and use a torch to look at the element to see if it looks out of shape etc.
