I need a speaker for a whistler 1743 radar detector

While this Whistler model isn't a really good radar detector, most likely if you call Whistler then they will happily send you a replacement speaker. The speaker simply plugs into a jack on the main circuit board. All you need is a set of small Phillips head screwdrivers in order to open up the 1743 and to remove the clips which hold the speaker in place. Radio Shack's set of Kronus Phillips and flat head screwdrivers work nicely for this sort of thing.
