Question about Canon NP 6050 Copier

1 Answer

I was having problems with dark spots on the copy of as it was being printed, I was told to replace the glass, and I did, and today I am still having the same problem, it looks as though the copier itself is printing some areas darker than others, and the parts that are printing darker usually comes up in a straight row, noe the whole word, but certain lettering in the word, and then everything in sequence below that, their is also a fluttering noise comming from inside of the copier an the back. in the top or middle panel, sounds like a roller is rubbin up against something.

This is a very mechanical machine that does require a good tech to see it every once in a while. the fluttering is most likely the fixing unit rollers. This machine if not used alot can flatten the fixing roller and cause a noise like you describe. Plus corona wires need changed when this happens to the quality. It not a DIY fix, sorry.

My copies are not very dark

Is the problem only with copies? Does the machine also print light?
If is it copy only, remove the glass and clean the lamp and mirrors in the scanner.
If it is both copy and print, then you should clean the laser shield glass and replace the developer.

Did you clean beneath copy glass ( adf copy glass and platen )?Did you clean scaner also?
Clean the laser unit.
Not genuine toner isnt best solution.

Try to print something. If the print is OK, then the problem is in copy glass and scaner.

Broad dark line on right edge of copied papers

If you have the black line on copies and scans but printing from P.C is fine, then your scanner is broken.

Contact your printer manufacturer for a replacement or repair.

Konika Minolta Copier prints half dark pages

If it is only causing an image problem when you copy and not when you print, then there is something wrong with the optics under the glass. Check and see if you have any mirrors out of place or if the scanner looks crooked. If you have the machine set up to scan try and scan to SMB or email to see if it still has the problem. If everything looks correct under the glass and scans to SMB and email look bad like the copies, you may have a bad CCD assembly, or a bad board.

Getting a dark line on the copy pages. Need a new

Mite be a problem with your doc feeder. Are you using a doc feeder? If so raise up the doc feeder and place an orgnial on the big glass instead of feeding the orginal thur the docfeeder. Does the line disappear? If it does then the **** glass the small glass used by the docfeeder has a mark on it or dirt. Is your machine a printer also? Does the print have the mark/line on them also. Do any of your machine's internal reports have line on them Meter Read print outs etc.

Gestetner DSC 232SP: I purchased this copier used and it had printing ok. My color copies are coming out horrible. they are displaying a white line in the same area on page after page. Even after I ran a...

The white line or lines are NOT caused by the fuser. A defect "line" in the fuser would cause the symtom of the print rubbing off the page but not blank lines on your copy. First we need to separate your copy quality issues. This machine uses 4 drums, 4 developer units and a transfer belt. Most copy quality issues will reside in 1 or more of these units. Lets start with a few questions. 1)Are your copy quality issues ONLY on color copies? or are the black and whites poor too? 2) Are you running copies only thru the document feeder or have you made any copies from the glass?
Are you printing on the copier from your computer?

Paper when out put then see spot in middle page portate

I don't know the model of Canon Copier you have, and I don't know if your problem happens when you copy and print, or only when you copy, so it's hard to tell with the little information you've provided.

Let's assume the easiest solution is the correct one...

Is the "Spot" in the same location on every copy? Then clean glass.
does the spot move left to right across the page with each successive copy? Then replace the drum unit.

Copies are dark

No. It would most likely be the opposite.

The stripes could be caused by contamination of the dev roller, fixing rollers or marks on the drum.

You could also clean the laser ****-glass.

Dark edges

It depends... never use a Reman cart in these machines... only use sharp...especially if the machine is under warranty.

Does this happen when,
Using the Doc Feeder
When making copies from the Glass
Or when you print from a computer (assuming you print from a PC)

If you print something and this happens then it is inside the machine
Probably toner or developer dumping...

Take a few pieces of large white paper and cover the entire glass surface... make a copy is the line there? If so see the answer above... if not then close the top and make a copy with no paper on the glass... is that black line there.. If so then your top needs adjustment...

One more test
If you make a copy using the doc feeder, this black line only occurs when making copies with the doc feed, clean the **** glass, and try again...
