Sir,
Sorry for the inconvenience.

You've stumbled upon a temporary problem we're having with Yahoo! Mail. Usually this problem gets resolved quickly, without you doing a thing.

Try pressing the Reload or Refresh button on your browser, or signing out and back into Yahoo! Mail. Hopefully that will take care of things.

If that doesn't fix the problem, please try again shortly. The fact that you're reading this page means we've been automatically notified of the issue, and chances are we're working on it now.

If you think you've been more than patient and tried the tricks above, feel free to contact Customer Care about Error Code 17.

Why can't I get yahoo mail on my PC?

You must first set up POP access in Yahoo Mail before you can retrieve Yahoo email locally. Go here to do that: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/messenger/enable-pop-access-sln22038.html

Once this is completed, then you set up your local email client with Yahoo settings. Use the Outlook Express article to help with that: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail-classic/SLN3213.html

My page yahoo mail.com is blocked.

Yahoo! Mail rarely rejects mail upon connection. If this is happening to your email, here are the common error messages you should be seeing in your SMTP logs:
553 VS99-IP1 deferred - see related help topic. If you see this error message, please visit this page for assistance.
451 VS1-IP Excessive unknown recipients - possible Open Relay More information (#4.1.8)
451 VS1-MF Excessive unknown recipients - possible Open Relay More information(#4.4.5)

If you see any of these 2 error messages, please visit our deprioritization page for more information.

If you do not see error messages similar to the above, then your emails are neither being blocked nor deprioritized. Listed below are other possible error messages you may be seeing and the steps you should take to address them:
554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account ({recipients'userid}@domain.com). You should not retry the message and remove the email address from your list. The user does not exist.
421 Resources temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. The Yahoo! Mail MTAs are temporarily too busy. Your server should try to resend the message after a few minutes.

If you do not see these or similar error messages, you should see an SMTP confirmation code similar to "250 ok dirdel" that indicates your message has been delivered.

If it is Yahoo mail this occurs from time to time with the new version of their email. Try switching to classic mode until it begins to work again

Hi Ruksre,

Check to see if you have entered your email ID & password correctly. If so & if this keeps bothering you then it looks like someone has hacked into your Yahoo Mail Account and changed the password. You better get in touch with the officials at Yahoo. They might have a better answer and also a solution for your problem. Don't worry. This happens all the time. The way to avoid it is to keep a long and confusing password (not confusing to you but to a hacker) and keep changing it every 15 to 20 days.
Also keep an alternate email ID on another email service provider like gmail or rediffmail or whatever. This will help you in many ways. For example if you forget your password for your yahoo account then you can opt for Forgot Password... and redirect the yahoo server to send it to your second or alternate email account and vice versa. But this can only be possible if, while registering fro the first time, you have submitted the alternate email id to yahoo. In case, God willing, your yahoo mail starts again then go to the settings in the My Account page and give an alternate email id. But make sure that the alternate email id you give them, exists.

I hope you get your stuff back online. Good luck to you.

I can not get on yahoo messenger. why? i have downloaded messenger 10 , still nothing. could you please help me get it back? thank you

Are you having a problem of logging in to your YM (Yahoo Messenger)?

First, try to access your Yahoo Mail, to verify that your user name and password are still working.

Try to login using your user name only without the domain (@yahoo.com)

Example: Let's say your email address is john.smith@yahoo.com.

Go to www.mail.yahoo.com
Your user name should be "john.smith" only (without @yahoo.com).
Then type your password. If you can access your Yahoo Mail, then same procedure applies to Yahoo Messenger.

If same problem occur, try to access the YM in another computer, so that you can isolate the problem.

Thank you and good luck!

Can't log into Yahoo mail

This is usually an issue under "Internet Options"
Follow these directions and see if you www.yahoo.com is being blocked. If it is set it to "allow"
In internet explorer click tools
click: internet options,
click: privacy,
click: sites
Look in managed websites for blocked websites
Highlight www.yahoo.com and click the "allow" tab.
Hope this helps
