Question about Panasonic KX-TG4500 Phone

Panasonic base unit went dead

I have a 2 year old Panasonic KX-TG4500 phone. The base suddenly went dead. Replaced the backup battery & the phone starting working immediately, & seemed to charge the battery ok. Two days later, & the phone is dead again. Tested the power cord's providing approx. 9.65 volts. Tested the terminal where the backup battery plugs in... only approx. 2.5 V there. Any fix?

Turns out that it was a faulty power transformer. Replaced the power cord w/ a new one & life is good again.

Don't throw it away until you try replacing power suppy from one of the cordless units and plug it in to base. This has worked well for all 3 three of our base units that we thought had simply failed.

Kx-tg4500 base unit. The backlight is lit but flashes. No words appear wont answer or ring. Cordless phones say cannot connect to base unit

Hi I have seen this may times and it has to do with the main controller in the unit, unfortunately this means that it must be repaired or replaced, i recommend the latter, as in reality to repair this unit is uneconomic in my experience, sorry about that but now at least you know. However if you do wish to attempt a repair, it obviously will not hurt, to contact a local or head office from Panasonic and ask for a referral to an authorised service center, now take the unit there and ONLY ask first for a "Quote" as to prospective costings and go from there.

I have two KX-tg4500 bases & I need them to be able to "talk" to each other! They are both currently registered as number 0 - how do I renumber one of them to register it to the other base?

only one can be base! you can try to make one the base and then try to pair the other as client however be prepared that the base is not set to be client

good luck

The display and the battery light are flickering on my KX-TG4500 base unit, but the phone seems to be working. What is causing the flicking and how do I stop it?

We had a similar problem, but our unit eventually stopped working. We were able to fix by replacing the power adapter. The easiest way to test if this is the problem is to use one of the power adapters from the handsets (they use the same one). If that solves the problem, you just need a new power cord/adapter.

Panasonic phone KX-TG4500 base not turning on, I have had it for 3 years and all of a sudden it died, like a battery goes off.

I could tell the base unit was about to go a few days ago. Have had the phone for years with intermittent problems but it has been for quite awhile now. However, the screen on the unit started to blink a bit a few days ago. Had a feeling it was about to go but the phone kept working until this morning when it suddenly dies. After reading that changeing the cord might work, I replace the unit power cord with one from my handset and the phone is working again! Thanks for the suggestion!

Semi Dead Panasonic KX-TGA100N with ''C533'' displayed.

Panasonic KX-TG1050N Cordless Phone. Base handset (No. 1, KX-TGA100N) does not work, no keypad response or dial tone. Green indicator message light ON (should only work with the TG1000N base unit) all the time till battery runs down. Display shows message ?C533?. Can still send and receive calls on extension phones 2 and 3.
